I contacted Dr Renu to get over my exam related anxiety. I wasn't clearing a major exam because of my anxiety getting in the way of my preparation. I was thinking I'll be going through counselling, breathing exercises and stuff, because I had contacted psychologists earlier as well, and these were the things that they focused on and was a bit worried whether it would again be not helpful, as I had already tried all those. But the solution that Dr Renu recommended was very simple, but it actually made sense, as I knew it was my preparation that I was falling short on as my anxiety was coming in the way and she taught me how to do my preparation properly and fight my anxiety. I was in touch with her throughout my preparation journey and at each appointments, she used to patiently help me get over the mental blocks and apprehensions that I was having. Her support helped me to focus on my preparation properly and by God's grace, I could clear my exam this time. This was an exam I had thought I would never clear. But Dr Renu helped me get over that fear and helped me in achieving my dream.
I would highly recommend Dr Renu and I, myself, will be contacting her in future for her guidance in navigating my mind. Thank you doctor.

I had approached Renu earlier this year, and my liaison with her now is about 8 months old and counting. At the onset of my therapy, I was in a phase of anxiety, stress, relationship problems, a lot of self-doubts, and completely out of depth. Every single session I had with Renu has been very insightful and helped to understand myself and my problems in a whole different light. Renu would patiently listen to me whine and yap away my concerns, sometimes my silliest of fears, and my gravest worries intently. What I strongly like about Renu is her depth of understanding her patients and their needs, while some of us are looking for validation, some are looking for solutions and some just want patient ears. Sometimes, a single patient wants this all, at various points in the therapy. And, this is what makes Renu the most empathetic and the most professional, she understands her patients need without being told to and would support them the way they want to be supported. Another very rare quality is her strong ethical values; it’s very seldom that you find people who are not only masters of their trade but also highly ethical and honest. It’s all these that makes her the most approachable, and a genius of a problem solver. While I write this, I stand at a much better place in life and in much control of my emotions and my mental health. I cannot but be more thankful of Renu and I strongly recommend her, and I believe she could easily pass off as one of the best therapists in town!

Dr. Renu is the best person to approach:)
She has helped through a lot of tough times of my own. She is kind, sensitive and makes her intentions towards you, very clear. She also helps you think through your actions.
She is the most real and genuine person you could find, and that's exactly what you need during some of your low points; a person who lets you know that things het better no matter what, that you are not alone and there's always a person who'll listen to you without judging you at all.
She is a person who learns about your past, your life, you; to find ways on helping you become a better person and to provide you with all the support a d strength you need both emotionally and mentally rather than punishing you for them. A well experienced person who empathises, and stands by you through it all, as a guide and as a friend. Well, it is never too late to make amends... Ans she reassures you of just that and helps you kick in a start towards this idea.
She is one person who genuinely cares and tries to help you, not just out of a professional formality but, out of pure concern and love.
Along these lines of a doctor-patient relationship, i know i found a friend and with time..m so will you!
I have gotten much better after my sessions with her, and it definitely is a 15/5 recommendation :)👍

I approached Dr. Renu E George who is a Clinical Psychologist in Arekere, Bangalore via practo portal when my adult daughter had been suffering from boots of depression and anxiety.
Initially my daughter was not that co-operative like failing to turn up for the counselling sessions at appointment time . In spite of that Dr.Renu E George has been very considerate and took valuable counselling sessions. She is intellectually brilliant, a compassionate and understanding listener. She encouraged my daughter to analyze her problems from various angles so that she could develop a deeper understanding of her and her negative thoughts .Every counselling session of her made my daughter to become self aware, and started slowly healing the various types of insecurities of my child and made her aware about her shortcomings like low self esteem and other negative traits. She did a tremendous job and virtually ensured that without taking medicines my daughter was almost able to overcome the depression and negative thoughts and able to lead a normal life. Even though every session is to be timed for 1 hr depending upon the need and without charging any extra money the Doctor used to extend the sessions for more than 1 hr and sometimes it went upto 2hrs. For Dr.Renu George money is only secondary, but her prime objective is treating her patients successfully and enable them to overcome the stigma associated with mental illness like depression and anxiety. Myself and our family will be ever grateful to our great clinical psychologist Doctor Renu George in Arekere,Bangalore for her great service towards humanity in eradicating the mental illness.

Hoped for better: Treatment satisfactionExplanation of the health issue
I went to Renu individually to help her control my physical outbursts during argument with my partner. My response was out of my personality and I knew I need expert’s help to understand and combat my reactions. She was great, empathetic, for the first 3sessions. On the first session she assured me, it is a relationship issue, and she would like to see my husband as well, if possible. She also assured me to “teach” how to control my reactions better. We saw her for almost a year. She never shared any solutions, or suggestions for helping me with my behaviourial issues. Insisted on weekly couples therapy. And during those sessions I was simply getting bashed and verbally abused by my husband. Renu visibly empathised with him. I entered deep depression. I used to come back from the sessions unable to communicate my thoughts and battered Badly every time. I repeatedly requested for twice a month visits, so that I can digest all the abuse and allegations, collect my thoughts and go back for hopefully a productive session. However Renu kept insisting for weekly visits. At one point I felt she is responding in ways my spouse is responding, and I shared this with Renu. Up on which, very professionally she thanked me for sharing the “feedback” which she disclosed will help her future approach. After a few more weeks, when I could not perceive any betterment of the approach, I called her to say that I would not like to see her, since I do not think it is working out. Renu used to communicate between me and my husband, for sharing informations like appointment schedules. At the time of the call, I asked her if she wants she can continue having individual sessions with my husband and she can communicate my decision to him. To which she said she will not see my husband separately and (rightly) said, I need to directly communicate with my partner about my decision of not seeing her. Good. So I communicated with my spouse and communicated back to her that my spouse is aware that we are not seeing her anymore. Now comes the interesting part.
Renu was aware that my spouse has the habit of blackmailing me using my depression (which was also due to my postpartum state) as a weapon. She said upfront that she does not support this attitude of his, and we shared how I think mental health issues are taboos for our society. A few months later my forever blackmailing husband, who even in Renu’s presence shared that he is correct in threatening me, shared with me a recording of a phone call between Renu and him. This call was clearly made from Renu’s side after it has been communicated with her over call and text that we will not be seeing her anymore as a couple. In the call, she goes on to share with my husband how stubborn I am, and how I think she is colluding with him, and I would only do what I think is correct. *** ********* **** ******* ********* ** ** ******* *********** *** **** ***** ****** ** *** *** **** ** ****** *********** ** ****** ** **** *********** ********** *** *** ******* ** ***** The cherry on the cake: She said, if she could she would wring my arm and drag me for therapy.
So much for patient doctor trust levels and openness.
Therapists are humans too. **** *** ******** ** ***** ****** ** ******** But when you are in the occupation of saving peoples lives and minds, you need to be a bit more cautious and perhaps a little less confident of your ability to help.

I have visited her for marital issues. In couple of sessions she figured out my individual personality issues which were creeping into and degenerating the marriage. She helped me realise the personality disorders I am having and how to manage them. She used to listen to me very patiently and helped me heal from all the past emotional abuse I had gone through...Everytime I came out of session feeling more positive, confident and happier....She not only counseled me inside a closed room during the session but was available over phone, text etc. I had anxiety and I used to bug her often over phone, emails...but she was very patient and never got irritated or asked me to go elsewhere. She helped me as much as possible and when she noticed it is becoming a habit, she gradually pulled back her support because that was unhelathy and as a therapist she is supposed to make me independent in solving my problems on my own and not to depend on her always. I used to question her or argue with her at time when a solution suggested by her seemed unreasonable and she always clarified it without feeling offended. I was wretched, after meeting her I felt peaceful, satisfied and confident to pursue my bucket list which I had postponed for the longest time due to lack of confidence and fear of failure.
Our marital issues are still not resolved and is in progress. So it would be unfair to comment on it now. Once, we are out of therapy I will post the feedback on marital counseling.
Overall, she loves her job and is very good at it. She is unlike other doctors whose aim is to see the patient, suggest few things and send them back home or keep money milking. It was she who asked me to stop therapy as my issues were resolved, when I was insisting on seeing her because going and talking to her had become a part of my life. I was in therapy with her for almost 2.5 years and therefore I know her very well. However, sometimes the language and the way they counsel is quite confusing at times and I have always given her this feedback but I guess this is how it is supposed to be done. Due to one of my PD, I really have high standards to evaluate people and it is not easy for me to appreciate somebody. ** **** ***** ****** **** ** ********* ***** *** **** ** * ****** **** ****** **

Dr. Renu is treating a very close family member and on behalf of my family and self, I would like to thank her and share my experience with her therapy.
At the start, our family member strongly resisted treatment, fully believing he is fine although it was apparent to others around him, he needs help. As laypersons, that is all we knew i.e. that he needs counselling.
Dr. Renu's understanding and grasp of our family member's condition has been invaluable. Her empathy towards her patient's condition has given him the strength to cope and make necessary changes in his lifestyle and thought process.
Today it is most gratifying to note he looks forward to his sessions with Dr. Renu which have greatly helped him. He still has a long way to go but we have faith in Dr. Renu's ability to point him in the right direction; i.e direction towards a bright and fulfilling life ahead of him. Thank you Dr. Renu!

I have been struggling with multiple mental health issues for over 4 years now and have been to several therapists across the country seeking help. Brain to Mind and Dr. Renu was kind of a last resort before a final breakdown for me and from the first ever text message she replied to, the experience was reassuring. She is empathetic, kind, thoughtful, trustworthy and moreover patient. From a point of utter disinterest in life to baby steps now for reclaiming myself and life, Dr. Renu always stood by me, patiently. Best part of her approach is that she never forces solutions onto me but patiently guided to untangle the thoughts, think more deep, address the trauma and empowered me to find solutions on my own. I am indebted to Dr. Renu for this second chance at life.

She helped me cope with, and understand my condition. She goes above and beyond for her patients. I had to stop my therapy sessions as I was leaving the city, but she offered to continue on skype sessions with me. I have since had therapy with other doctors, none of them are as personal as she was. Not just for me, but also for helping my family understand my situation.
I would definitely recommend going to her for any mental health issues. Her assistance does not end with the 50 minutes of the therapy session, she was available for me anytime when I could not handle my situation.
