When I first met Dr Arunita Biswas, she pointed out that she was not here to solve my problems, but rather to peel the onion and surface them. She has since enabled me to gain perspective on my circumstances and find my own solutions.

To say that she is really good at her job would be an understatement. Her insights often feel like the part of the jigsaw puzzle that has been right in front of you all this while. Although she is the expert, she is not one to force an opinion. She values any differences in opinion and has always been keen to understand one’s position and course correct.

Since having consulted her, I realized that I was living with a weight, and I finally feel like it has been lifted off my chest. I literally breathe better, the quality of my mental state on a daily basis is better than I can ever recall. I appreciate that she calls a spade a spade and questions your “truths” and leads you to introspect at a fundamental level. I remember breaking down in tears, expressing how desperately I wanted to be happy again and not be consumed by sadness. She listened patiently and assured me that things would get better, though I left that day feeling unsure.

I continued to visit her weekly, and during our sessions, I would talk for about 45-50 minutes while she spoke for only 10. Her approach was to ask thought-provoking questions and assign me ‘homework’ based on our discussions. Over time, I started to see progress and slowly began to reclaim my life. Today, I’m happy on my own, and beyond helping me with the relationship, Dr. Arunita has guided me in navigating other relationships and, most importantly, in rediscovering myself.
