I am 68 years old and recently I underwent cataract surgery for both eyes at Akshara eye hospital in Bengaluru. Dr Ashish Kumar, who operated on me made me feel very comfortable throughout the consultations before surgery, during surgery and at follow-up appointments. I have always believed that we can never thank doctors enough for what they do for us. I can’t thank Dr Ashish enough for giving me back the gift of clear vision. He is clearly very skilled at his work.
More importantly, he has the patience to sit with his patients and explain things in a way that we can make clear decisions for ourselves. And I am one of those who needs all answers and a lot of reassurance! Actually I was terrified of surgery (though it was a minor one) and was reluctant to go ahead. Yet, Dr Ashish had the patience to answer my questions without ever making me feel like I was a pain!
Dr Ashish has a friendly way of talking to his patients. He recognised that I was anxious during the surgery and distracted me by chatting like a family member. For a second I even thought that in the hands of a surgeon like him, there is no need for any anaesthesia.
He is polite and very down to earth, and the rest of the hospital staff that I came across were also equally friendly.
About Akshara hospital, I felt that they took utmost care around cleanliness and hygiene.

I would like to share my very good experience at Akshara Eye Hospital, Devarachikkanahalli Road, IIM Post, Bilekahalli: I had visited on Monday along with my Parents (Father's age 84 years, Mother age 82 years). My parents lost sight due to cataract we undergo an eye test and meet doctor Dr. Ashish Kumar, he is very helpful, friendly and polite Dr. Ashish Kumar explained the whole procedure and my concern regarding cataract operation of my parents which are above 80 years. He is very experienced; I am very scared and concerned about my parent’s operation being very old. On Saturday he performed a cataract operation on my parents and it goes smooth without any pains and the whole procedure went very smooth. Now my parents can see clearly without glasses. I would definitely recommend Dr. Ashish Kumar and Akshara Eye Hospital. Really happy with the surgery. I am satisfied with the staff members, Nursing staff, helpers.
Excellent service and best treatment I have ever seen in an eye hospital, My parents who were praising his treatment, I strongly recommend cataract surgery.

Visited the hospital for a problem in the vision in the left eye. Dr. Ashish Kumar has explained me the situation and recommended for cataract surgery. He was very erudite in explaining the causes, present situation of both the eyes, need for the surgery etc. He explained all the issues involved to my satisfaction and made me comfortable to undergo the surgery. Dr. Ashish Kumar performed the cataract surgery on my both eyes in a very efficiently and without giving scope for any sort of anxiety in me.. The ambience of the hospital is excellent and wait time is minimal. Whole staff contingent is warm and courteous. I definitely recommend Akshata eye hospital and Dr. Ashish Kumar

Hoped for better:Â Treatment satisfaction
My husband and I went for a normal eye checkup, *** ***** ***** *** ******* ***********. I was told that my right eye power is now 0 and my husband's power of both the eyes was increased by 0.75***** ***** *** **** * *** ** ******* **** **** ***** ****** *** ***** ***** ***** ** ******* *** ******** *** ******* **********the person who checks power does it so quickly and the alphabets and numbers they have put are so large that can be read by anyone even without glasses clearly.consultation including eye checkup and everything was finished in less than 5mins.doc told they will have put eye drop in my husband eye and he will have to wait for half an hour then again checkup will be done.but as we came out of doctor cabin they gave us the prescription and said consultation is completed and we can go.
