Dr. Venkataram is a unique combination of dermatologist, dermato pathologists, and hair transplant surgeon. His qualifications include MD, DVD, DNB and Diplomate of Royal College of Pathologists, Uk. He worked abroad in different countries for over 13 years before returning to india to set up venkat charmalaya centre for advanced dermatology in bangalore.Dr. Venkataram is the author of 90 publications and 7 books including a book on dermatopathology( for postgraduates) and dermatology( for undergraduates). He is currently the president of association of cutaneus surgeons (india) , convenor of taskforce on dermatosurgery and coordinator for special interest group on dermatopathology, of indian association of dermatologists, venereologists, leprologists( iadvl), and chairman, ethical committee of association of hair restorations surgeons of india . He is also the editor in chief of journal of cutaneus and aesthetic surgeons and asci textbook of dermatosurgery. He is also a member of training committee of international society of hair restoration surgeons (ishrs).Cosmetic dermatology is an area of interest for Dr. Venkataram Mysore. He has attended many international workshops on the subject in different places such as amsterdam, munich, trieste, malta etc. His interest in hair transplantation lead him to a fellowship on the subject in koreaand further training in workshops and conferences in chicago , orlando, melbourne,montreal etc. . He performs follicular unit hair transplantation by a new “no touch technique” using microscopic dissection to obtain the best cosmetic results. He also performs follicular unit extraction and trichyphytic closure. He performs latest lasers and aesthetic techniques and has organized several conferences on cosmetic dermatology, such as cosmecon 2007, bangalore, cosmecon 2010-conference on cruise.

Unlike other doctors, he never tried selling any package nor insisted to go under knife but gave me options and was very practical about the good and bad post surgery. He gave me enough time to decide about the transplant and after a week or two i go to him. Since i had already burnt my hands with one unsuccessful surgery and an ugly scar, i was a little reluctant but decided to take a chance. I would strongly not recommend Venkat Charmalaya and avoid going to Dr Venkat as far as my experience goes undergoing fue ht. I had the fue ht 18 months ago at Venkat Charmalaya *** *** ****** *** ********* ***** ****** *** ** ********** ******** ** ************* *** **** ***** ** ******* ************* I trusted the expertise of Venkat brings to this area and I was completely wrong. ******* ** **** *** ******* *** ***** *** *** *** ** *** ** ******** ******* ******** After undergoing fue the results are patchy no where near the density promised and I will have to undergo another fue. ***** **** ** *** ******* *** **** *********** *** *** ****** ** ********* ***** I underwent PRP twice, took Finax, hair supplements, shampoo, Topical Finastride solution per his advice Then at 18months he did agree that the final outcome is less than what was expected by about 30percentage. ** *** ***** ********** ******** ****** ******* ****** **** *** ****** ************* Now with such results he is suggesting retouch surgery. I have visited more than 7 times for my skin problem and I have undergone 3 times laser toning and 2 times microdermision (md ) but I don't see any result till now I have spends more than RS 21000 Don't know what to do,, when ever I go they will give ointment but it doesn't work out

Timings: Appointment time chosen on Practo was not feasible for the doctor, so the appointment was shifted to a later time. I arrived at the latter time suggested by the doctor, but still had to wait for ~45 minutes.
Consultation: doctor listened to everything I had to say, performed a cursory examination, and suggested a slew of treatments. Overall the experience was positive, but rather expensive.
