My husband reacts with disproportionate anger and irritation in almost all things in daily life. He doesn't spend time with his son or wife at all, instead chooses to spend time on the net. Displays road rage when driving. Is non communicative. Reacts with anger or indifference if I try to talk to him. This has been happening with increased intensity for the past couple of months. But most of these behavior has been there for past many years now. He is 44 years old. I am 38. We have been married for 13 years. We have a 5 year old son. Both of us work. I am the primary breadwinner. my husband has never shown much inclination to assume responsibilities for providing financial security for family. He is also not invested in providing emotional support. I fear that he is suffering from depression or a personality disorder and seek to understand what's troubling him. Our son who is 5 would like to spend more time with him. We need help.

She was not attentive when I was sharing my situation. I had read many good reviews about the doctor but was surprised to see her behave this way today. She gave me an explanation which didn't seem to be practical.
I can understand there could be few personal reasons to being in a hurry, but in that case she could have at least cancelled/postpone the appointment.

That's quite visible from the way she communicates with the person. She takes a great zeal in understanding the root cause of the issue. She time and again ask you regarding different aspects of your life and always tries to make you comfortable so that you will not hesitate to share anything with her.

She did not gave only medication..rather a combination of medication and sessions. The sessions were really helpful not only to overcome or avoid the current issue, rather to be aware of what's causing that and how to eradicate that cause by strengthening yourself and your core values. During her sessions she never makes you feel like a patient rather a friend with whom you are casually discussing your problems without the fear of judgement. Though all sessions are time bound, she always try not to stop in a middle of a discussion which from my perspective is really helpful.

Coming to the medication, she gave a very light doses of medication which actually worked immediately in my case and asked me to gradually decrease and finally stop after a few months.

Regarding timings and appointments, she was quite flexible and very accommodating. Sometimes I had to reschedule my sessions and she was very cooperative to change my timings.

To sum it up, when you are going to her, go with an open mind without any apprehension. Be assured that she will help you to the maximum extents she can. But always remember in psychological issues, doctors can only to a certain limit. Rest it's always up to you to help yourself. Be brave and take the first step.
