I was diagnosed with an Aneurisms in the descending part of the artery arch on 6th Dec 2022 after a 2D Echo and subsequent CR-Scan. I met Dr. Shashidhar regarding possible treatment; he explained the problem in detail and suggested TEVAR (Thoracic Endo-vascular Aneurism Repair) procedure. I requested time till the first week of April 2023 as our daughter (who lives abroad) wanted to be by my side. He agreed with some hesitation considering the complex nature of the ailment. As planned I was admitted at Apollo, Sheshadripuram Hospital on 2nd April 2023 and was operated upon on 3rd April 2023. Dr. Shashidhar was very reassuring during the procedure, which went smoothly in about 50 minutes, and I was transferred to Cardiac Care Unit for observation. The same evening I was transferred to the twin-sharing room I had opted for. I was eventually discharged on 4th April evening. Overall, my experience with Dr. Shashidhar has been very good and I would unhesitatingly recommend his services to others.

My dad was not able to walk for many months, we didn't rectify the problem initially. His health was getting worse every day and finally admitted him to a local hospital. I had been diagnosed as having varicose veins in both legs, which I had not got treated for a long time. Dr Shashidhar recommended laser ablation treatment with foam sclerotherapy. This technique is minimally invasive (no overnight stay at hospital required). About two and a half months ago I went for this surgery. The whole procedure went off very well (spinal anaesthesia meant that I was conscious the whole time) and Dr Shashidhar took very good care right from the beginning till discharge from hospital and also the follow-up visit. I was able to walk unaided a few hours after surgery and resume normal work and move about from the next day itself. Within a couple of weeks I was back to 100% normal state. Dr Shashidhar's manner inspired confidence in his abilities and I recommend him and this technique for treatment of varicose veins for those who can afford it (it costs slightly more as compared to open surgery).

I am so far happy about the experience I had regarding the doctor and his treatment. He did not rush to prescribe something and patiently explained us the root cause of the problem and also suggested minimal tests.

However, I would suggest patients not to rely on practo's appointment timing as Apollo Hospitals do not even consider that appointment. You better call them and take the appointment directly with them. Due to this reason, we were kind of harrased a little as we had to wait for 2 hours.

I am Jitendra Jain.I had consulted Dr Shashidhar for my wife Veena Jain's varicose vein problem.Doctor examined her and suggested EVLT procedure.Since we were covered under insurance I asked the Doctor to include all consumables.Doctor agreed and EVLT was done successfully.post operation because of anesthesia it took longer to gain bladder sensation but it was promptly attended by the doctor.overall experience was good and doctor also called up to enquire patient health post discharge.

I am 40yr old female. I had extensive deep vein thrombosis in my left leg. Whole leg had swollen&painful.dr. Shashidhar advised latest treatment to dissolve the clot, since I was young. He also told that if the colts are dissolved by tablets,, it may take long time to dissolve& the swollen leg may remain lifelong. So I was advised to undergo thrombolysis by placing catheter in the clots. I was kept in ICU & clot dissolving medicines was given by catheter placed in the clots. Medicines were given for 2 days. The whole swelling dissapeared & pain was redused significantly within one week. I was almost normal & I am on tablets, so that the colts will not form again. Thanks to dr. Dr Shashidhar KP is very good Endovascular surgeon.. we consulted him at Bangalore hospital after my father AV fistula surgery for Dialysis failed in Bellary.The Bellary Doctor tried to do AV fistula surgery for about 4 hours but surgery failed ...He said weak artery is reason for failed surgery. We heard great things about Dr Shashidhar through few Dailysis patients. What they said about him are are very true. I am Mr. Anand Murthy, i had an wound in my leg which was non healing from 2 years. i also has mild varicose veins. Every doctor i met suggested crepe bandage or stockings. but ulcer did not heal. Dr. Shashidhar suggested laser for my varicose veins along with 4 layer dressings. Since the procedure is very simple and without complications i accepted for the procedure.
