Happy with: Explanation of the health issueTreatment satisfaction
Although doctor diagnosis and treatment recommended seemed fine, the customer service and support staff need a lot of improvement.
First, the location provided through Practo on Google maps was wrong. Despite repeated calls and attempts, the receptionist couldn't explain clearly how I should reach mostly because he couldn't understand where I was standing. This left me hobbling along 13th main in the dark to reach the office. Not a great start.
Second, as some others have pointed out, expect to wait even if you have an appointment scheduled because the clinic runs on a sign up and wait model.
My biggest and final issue was on communication regarding payment. I'd forgotten my wallet and asked the receptionist whether they accept Paytm to which she said yes. When it came time to pay for my blood tests, the technician said no Paytm but card or cash is fine. I explained that I didn't have my wallet on me to which he said I could paytm him and he could transfer the money to the clinic. At this point, he also made an unnecessary comment about how I should get a bank card which made me feel like I should just get the test elsewhere. Still needed to pay for the visit so I wanted to just give the doc feedback on this experience and ask if I could paytm the clinic.
This led to a fiasco where the doctor was yelling to reprimand his staff in front of me and asking why anything with Paytm even came up. The receptionist changed her story 3 times...turns out she doesn't know what paytm is and claimed I never asked her about payment. The doc also made it seem as though I was looking for a way to not pay his fees. I assured him I'd come back with cash the next day to clear his dues. At 9:30am this morning the same receptionist calls to check whether I'm coming. When I go to drop off the cash, the doctor rudely waves me off while speaking to another patient. I guess we know where his staff has learned poor customer service where you treat people like minions.
Overall, although I'm sure Dr. Iyer is a competent practitioner, I'd prefer a clinic with better customer service that operates in the digital age.
Practo, please ensure you update this listing with the correct location on Google maps to avoid headaches for other patients with mobility issues.

Dr. Ram Iyer is a real genius.
I was suffering from severe shoulder blade pain for months. Had visited Hosmat initially but the so called best in the field gave up on my condition in just two visits (spread over 3 months) when few strong muscle relaxants and some Vitamin B Complex tablets didn’t work, saying that the pain will last for a lifetime and might need an operation once it gets any worse and spreads to the spines. Concluding advice from them was to avoid riding, gymming or any sort of physical activity for life.
Being a fitness freak I just didn’t want to give up. That’s when I was recommended to visit Dr. Ram Iyer by one of my colleagues. This turned out to be a life changing advice. This man just doesn’t give up. He was able to figure out the root of the problem in the first 2 minutes itself and from then on it’s been steps in the right direction all throughout. From Physiotherapies to apt medications to advice on exercises and sitting/sleeping postures – he advised and monitored it all over a course of 4-5 months and here I am - completely cured of the pain. Have also resumed all my fitness related passions with full vigor now.
The best part about Dr. Ram is his ever so optimistic approach. He can actually make any patient with worst of the worst conditions start feeling amazing about the fight to fitness and that genuinely cures 50% of the issues.
Concluding advice from his was “go ahead and do everything that makes you feel good, else what am I treating you for? If there’s any minute complication at all, we’ll get that cured again but go ahead and have all the fun”.
Hats off Sir. You are a genius. Thanks for everything.
Visited For Knee replacement
I was amazed to visit Dr V Ram Iyer's consultation chamber in Indira Nagar. I hadn't visited a larger, cleaner, or more tastefully furnished one in my life. It showed serious concerns for patients, including the pair of bathroom slippers in front of the toilet (patients have to leave their shoes outside).
On the negative side, practo.com gave us an appointment at 10 AM, while the doctor arrived at 10.15. We were called in soon.
Dr Iyer examined my wife spending a lot of time, showed her exercises personally (this is usually left to juniors / physiotherapists in other clinics). Most importantly, Dr Iyer listened to her questions patiently and gave precise and clear answers to every one of them. To her question "Should I go for surgery?", he said it depended on what kind of life she would like to live. This clearly showed that for this surgeon, the patient is at the centre of the decision making process.
While we were talking with him, both my wife and I independently decided that we would rely on him for all her future treatments. I am absolutely sure that we will be happy that we have made this decision.
Our sincere thanks to Dr Ayer.

3: never diagnosed, rather put me into two castings for 45 days. One was POP and other was fibre. Both cost me around 10k
4: Despite telling him that my others joints were aching badly and hence could not balance to walk he says I acted beyond my age. Never to be that from a doctor!
5: once the casting was removed I could barely walk and he did not even had the concern to diagnose at then!

PLEASE LISTEN TO YOUR PATIENTS! May be they are not the doctors but they know what they are going through, and that can help you to get derived at appropriate diagnosis.
The doctor examined my father's thumb joint and gave a viable solution of reducing the pain with exercising the thumb daily. Medicines prescribed was adequate.
Also informed the Doctor on the pain on my feet. Examined my feet and recommended to dip my feet in hot water and exercise my feet. Recommended silicon heel sole to be inserted in the shoes when going outdoors. Medical slippers was recommended indoors.
Was comfortable with the Doctor. Would visit this doctor anything related to my orthopaedic ailments. ** ** ************* *** ********** ***
The doctor treated my wife's clavical bone fracture without any surgery.
Visited For Lower Back Pain
had lot of expectations from the feedback here. but after attending him felt disappointed. He is just another doctor looking for you patients money. Before I started telling him the lower back pain and leg pain problem that I have been suffering it from the last 6 months, he couldn't diagnose it. And prescribed me to unwanted tests. What kind of a senior doctor is he, if he not listening to patients? If he is writing the prescription before listening the patients story? Wasted Rs.1000 and time. There is no use in building a good looking clinic if it doesn't have a good doctor.
Visited For Joint Pain
Doctor is a genius. Never recommend unnecessary tests and scans. Straight to the point. But I had very bad experience with receptionist. Very arrogant and too much attitude. She never bothered to give back the change and the bill. Trying to make me forget about it.

Ram Iyer is a senior doctor who has experience more than 35+ Years, the moment we told our issues, doc clearly explained what needs to be done. He clearly mentioned the precautions, on what needs to be taken care of. After getting the Kneecap for the legs, he showed the procedure on how it should be worn.
Happy with: Wait time
Even after booking an appointment for all our visits, we were made to wait for a long duration. Also, two patients were give the same time for appointment..
Therefore taking an appointment in advance did not make sense.
The receptionist doesn't respond well.

I was suggested by a colleague to visit him for my wrist joint pain which I got after a minor accident about 6 months ago. Felt good after the consultation. He was able to diagnose the problem without any major tests. The treatment is undergoing hence I'll update again about the efficacy later.
