Dr. Nitish Kallianpur

Dr Nitish Kallianpur Saved My Dog. Our 5-year-old male lab, Brody, was already having a tough time adjusting to our new home when he had two seizures in a span of 3 days. He had had similar episodes earlier but never had he been this weak and frail (at this point there was no diagnosis for anything). While the first vet we called to see him ruled indigestion, the second diagnosed epilepsy and started him on epilepsy treatment. We started the medication immediately. Though his seizures stopped, his overall condition deteriorated to the point that we thought we would lose him. Our small town in West Bengal has poor veterinary facilities and this second doctor visits only twice a month, sometimes less.

Asking to connect with Dr. Nitish was a desperate cry for help. My friend in Bangalore has two rescues and she takes both to Dr. Nitish. She swears by him and the clinic and always has great things to say about them. I contacted Dr. Nitish and explained the entire case history on Whatsapp. At that point I was expecting a general guidance only because who is this nice, right? He called in less than an hour and asked me to stop one of the medications that he suspected was draining Brody’s energy. He also urged that we do a blood test immediately. Within a day or two he started looking better and by then I had also arranged (with much difficulty) for his blood tests. Once I shared the report with the Doctor, he called me and explained that his reports showed signs of tick fever and that we should start him on antibiotics without delay.

Throughout this entire episode, I have whatsapped him several times with nervous queries and endless questions and he has always responded in the most professional and patient manner. At no point was I made to feel that I was disturbing him or asking too many questions (which I probably was). He also explained the limitation of treating remotely but by then I already knew Brody was in good hands.

It’s been a month since I started consulting him for my furry brother and Brody is fit now (touchwood). He is alert, active and back to his playful and needy self. I shudder to think what would have happened if I didn’t come across Dr. Nitish. I cannot be more grateful for what he has done for our family. Although it embarrasses me deeply, Dr. Nitish has not charged a dime and straightaway refused to take any consulting fee.

If you are a pet parent or a pet sibling (like me) in Bangalore area and are looking for a vet who will make sure your pet is well taken care of, you must see Dr. Nitish at the clinic. I have heard that all the doctors at the clinic are absolute angels. Good luck with your pet’s health. The doctors at the clinic know that your pets are your family, probably more. :)

I live in Vizag and have been consulting Dr Nitin online regarding 3 of my older fur babies. And he’s always been a guiding light.

My rottie has a nail injury and the local vet that I used to visit was treating her for it for a month with no good results and a bad infected digit , he was just robbing me with expensive injections that he said was from America but nothing worked and only after i consulted Dr Nitin did I realise that it was too late and had to get her digit amputated. She is her happy self again it was a very agonising month to see her in such pain.

I wanted to thank you all for the level of care you showed my dog, Bell yesterday, especially Dr. Nitish Kalianpur and Dr. Anukarna Singh. I could not be happier with the care and customer service we received from the front desk staff to the veterinarians. Not only was I able to get a same day appointment, but we were taken back right at our appointment time. Since moving to Bangalore in March 2017, we have been to 2 other vet clinics in the city area and they both pale in comparison to this Clinic. The prices have always been reasonable. The veterinarians will not suggest a procedure or medication they do not feel is necessary, and we have always been able to get the appointment. I must say Dr. Kalianpur and Dr. Singh are an indispensable asset to the organization. Keep up the good work docs.

I got my cats neutered by him, both the surgeries went very smooth. Doctor was really patient and explained everything in detail. We had a little issue with our female cat, she was getting a little restless because of the e collar. Doctor was very helpful and guided us even late at night.

I felt really comfortable and confident before the surgery, and that is exactly how it should be. All the credit goes to Dr Nitish and his cooperative staff.

I'm extremely satisfied with my experience with Dr Nitish, and I'd recommend him to anyone whose pet needs to get a surgery.

My dog was suffering from severe pain so my mom kept on insisting to treat on emergency but this guy ********* made us wait for a long time. My mom only asked for the dogs treatment and not for anything else. My dog was fighting for a life but this guy was sounding rude which I can't digest. My dog passed away and I am speechless. Due to emergency I visited and paid Rs 200 to give pain killer injection so that I can take the dog to the other hospital. Hope these people remember it. I forgot to collect the receipt. This is genuine incident. How can the doctor say that I haven't visited the clinic. I just paid the money and left the clinic.
