About an year back we had been to Vatsalya for my 3yr old daughter who has nursing bottle caries. They applied fluoride gel even though she had cavities. There were 4 sessions out of which we attended 3. And at every session, I was asking if there is no treatment for cavities. They said nothing can be done about cavities. Unfortunately, I really believed that there is no treatment for a toddler’s cavities. But then her cavities were getting bad though I took all precautions. I had to do something about it, so I started exploring options on net. I sent an email to Dr Trivikrama of All Smiles clinic but he said they don’t treat kids. Then, I began my search for a paediatric dentist and found Dr Neeraja Raju of Little Pearls. We visited her on a Saturday. Reviews on this doc were very good, but may be doc was running a bad day then, and our experience with her wasn’t very pleasant. She was somewhat rude and very rough with the kid while taking X-Ray. Also, she suggested oral sedation for all 3 to 4 sessions since the kid was ‘uncooperative’. After much thought, we decided not to go back to her for treatment. Now, once again I started looking for an alternative. I found Pedo Pearls and reviews on Dr Manisha were good. We were little apprehensive to go just by reviews but we thought let’s visit and see. On my first visit, doctor checked up my daughter and quickly did a root canal treatment. My daughter cried but then it was over quickly and she was fine after that. Doctor was singing and talking and clapping and engaging her in between. Dr Manisha felt that my kid was very cooperative. In the 2nd session, she has treated almost 9 teeth of my kid. Hats off to her patience with kids. I really wish I had visited her an year back instead of visiting Vatsala, my kid’s oral health would have not reached this stage today. I am happy that I finally found a good doctor. The clinic is neat and ambience is good for kids. I’m still surprised with the quick treatment that she provides.
