Having secured her BAMS degree from Dhanwantari Ayurveda Medical College, Siddapur, Dr. Madhura moved to VPSV Ayurveda College, Kottakkal, Kerala, to complete her MD (Ayu) in Dravya Guna Vigyana from
Kerala University of Health Sciences in 2014. After a four year stint at teaching as an Assistant professor at Ashwini Ayurveda Medical College, Davangere, she returned to Bangalore's S-VYSA University to complete a Yoga Instructor's course and today is an Accredited Institution Yoga Instructor and a part of the Yoga Instructor for Diabetes Movement.
Dr.Madhura specializes in all aspects of Ayurveda therapies, with focus on Panchakarma, Dhara, Lepa, Kizhi, Abhyanga, Jalaukavacharana and Pracchanna. Her focus disease conditions are Arthritis, PCOD, Skin diseases, Obesity, women health care and Yoga for life style diseases. A meritorious student all through, Dr.Mathura is a winner of Jeevaka Award (2008) instituted by the Himalaya Drug company for her academic excellence during her BAMS years between 2003 and 2009. She brings with her more than 10 years’ experience, beginning as an internee at Prakriti Ayurveda Hospital, Karwar (2008-09); practising for four years during post-graduation at VPSV Ayurveda College, Kottekkal (2011 -14), and serving as Assistant Professor at Davangere (2014-2018) before joining the Arth Ayurveda team for a full time practice.
A native of Davangere, Dr.Madhura is well versed in computers and proficient in Kannada, English, Hindi, and Malayalam. She has presented papers at various seminars and has received extensive training. She has Participated in Essay competition on “Rasabheediyam” at Arya Vaidya Sala, Kottakkal, on the occasion of Aryavaidyan P.Madhava Varier Memorial Gold Medal -2012, and presented a paper on “Role of Shadrasas in management of Atherosclerosis” at presentation competition held at Alvas Ayurveda Medical College, Moodbidri in National Ayurveda Conference 2014- Chikitsitam and secured 1st prize. Other papers presented include “Nutraceuticals : An Ayurvedic perspective” at presentation competition in the national seminar on “ Novel pharmacological approaches in search of new Ayurvedic drugs” conducted by Association of Dravyaguna specialists -2014, and a poster on “Role of Shadrasa in Management of Atherosclerosis” at presentation competition in the national seminar on “ Novel pharmacological approaches in search of new Ayurvedic drugs” conducted by Association of Dravyaguna specialists -2014.
Having attended more than 15 training sessions over the years in different aspects in premier institutions in Kerala and Karnataka, Dr.Madhura has extensive knowledge about Ayurvedic medicines and has made it her aim to propagate the role of Ayurveda in human health care.read less
