Dr. Goutham Kumar

Dr Gautam was referred to me by my cousin for my hernia pain. The very first interaction with Dr Gautam made me feel very comfortable though it was over the phone. Reason being, Dr Gautam. is very friendly and never made me feel like his patient. He asked in detail on what my concern was ( though it was over the phone, and though it was the first interaction).

I did speak to few other doctors before consulting Dr Gautam, and I must say, Gautam was the best. He was not too focused in getting the patient to the clinic to get all details about the patient. He instead chose what is more

convenient to the patient for the first consultation. During these Covid tough times, many of us do prefer online video consultation which Dr Gautam did without any hesitation.

After few weeks, I did meet Dr Gautam in person. He heard me out completely though there were some questions that I was repeating in loop.

He detailed me out the reason for all the symptoms am going through and suggested a surgery. But he never compelled me for the surgery. He even told that the surgery is not required immediately and can wait.

However, I decided to go ahead with the surgery as I could not bare the pain.

Dr Gautam conducted the surgery. I was in pain post surgery ( which is obvious in any surgery). However, Dr Gautam took personal and very good care of me, though he never knew me personally. He was always there to address my pain points post surgery at the hospital and at home. No matter how late it was, he was just a phone call away and that's the best part about Dr Gautam.

I personally feel Dr Gautam goes out of his way to take care of his patients. And I would recommend him any day. Thank you Dr Gautham for the care and patience you showed.

Goutham sir has been a great support at all times. He had lot of patience to answer all my queries. Gave me enough time to understand the pros and cons of getting the surgery done. Explained clearly all the possible complications that can come due to the surgery and also assured to avoid them. Tried his maximum to avoid the surgery with various medications. But when the surgery was the only option to save my life he posted me for the same and made sure I lead a better life. For me it was a very hard decision to make to go under knife to resect my pancreas but this decision was made only with the trust that I had on Goutham sir. The most important thing a patient needs is to feel comfortable, have trust and confidence in their doctor and above all the belief that they are here to do only that is good for them. As stated above the belief on Goutham sir made me go ahead with the surgery. Trust me if Goutham sir is your surgeon then any troubles you face he is there to take care worry not!!!. Sir is always a text or phone call away if you need him even if it's late in d night.

I visited Dr.Goutham Kumar on 13th Feb2021 diagonosed with Mirizzi syndrome type || and gallbladder stones with obstruction jaundice . I was much upset but Dr.Goutham assured me that everything will be alright as well he explained me clearly what my illness is about , risk factors after surgery and all the procedures .He admitted me immediately after seeing all the reports and that evening ercp procedure happened to unblock the bile duct .Next day I was quite well and my bilirubin went down . On 15 th Feb surgery happened and the very next day I was able to walk through the corridor of the hospital . Thanks to Dr.Goutham who made it possible .

He is one the coolest doctors I have ever seen 😀 . During my hospital stay he used to visit me everyday and took utmost care of me and encouraged me on getting well soon .I am really grateful to him for curing me and taking care of me .🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽.

He answers all my question and never rush listen patiently.l always feel completely satisfied after my appointment.

Dr Goutham is very professional and friendly. Made us feel very comfortable and gave us all necessary information about the surgery beforehand. I had little bit of cardiac concerns also which doctor helped us well by coordinating with other cadiac and anasthesia doctors. Our wait time in every visit was very less and doctor helped us in detailing out dos n donts pre and post surgery. The assisting sisters of doctor were also very caretaking and good. I would recommend dr goutham for any gastro related issues.

Hello! I m Sandhya Bhowmik,an eighty years old lady from West Bengal.Few months ago l suffered from sudden a stomach pain. Doctors said that I hv stones in Gallbladder.For four months I moved from one doctor to another but they couldn't cure me.I became disappointed & my daughters decided to go to the Manipal hospital in Bangalore.On 24th Nov. I visited Dr Anand Dotihal there. On 25th I met Dr Goutam. His smiling face & valuable suggestions gave me strength and encouraged to live & be cured. Next day I was admitted & my Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy was done by Dr Goutam on 27th Nov. The surgery took 4 hours. After getting back sense I felt just a slight pain. Next day my pain vanished totally. To me surgery was a very critical & painful matter but after my surgery it seems a simple matter.I m grateful & thankful to Dr Goutam & Dr Anand. Explaining and answering all questions asked about the reports and more over he did not panic us and spoke to us in a friendly manner which most of the doctor's dont do it i personally read the reviews of him and then booked an appointment with him and i am glad that i met him he cleared all my doubts

Dr Goutham Kumar is an extremely friendly, supportive and skilful Doctor. He explained us the entire process of the surgery, precautions that we should take, checks that they have done before and post surgery ,how the body will react, how to manage diet.
