Visited For Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery(CABG)
Happy with:Â Doctor friendlinessExplanation of the health issueTreatment satisfactionValue for money
Dr VJ is an angel for us in human form. We visited him for CABG for my father after getting an angiogram done at a different hospital. It was a very complicated case as there were multiple blocks upto 95% on the left side of the heart and with other comorbidities. He looked through the history patiently, diagnosis was narrated in detail -the current condition and state of health of heart , treatment plan established and its impact & prognosis.

My father got angioplasty from other hospital then after much investigation i went to sir vivek jawali. I went to meet doctor with reports, after watching reports he understood the case very well and told me to go for his bypass. I admire his skill because after watching reports I don't need to ask him anything, he knows what are questions and what are answers. Ya one thing is he is very strict and scolds you if u ask anything, but u will not be needing to ask any question for sure. After operation, it was open heart surgery, my father is doing great i can say. its been around one year he had his surgery.
This doctor is very impatient. He never listens to the questions we ask him and keeps shouting us calling people as dumb. He says I have narrated Ramayana and now you are asking this question. First of all when we consult doctor with some issue, we will be nervous and also it would be difficult for a common man to digest the info doctors give and we might end up asking some questions to understand the situation. We just need to listen to him ..no questions.

Hoped for better:Â Wait time
i would not comment about the doctor since I was not able to see him. But the fortis Cunningham road hospital was like a bad nightmare. I had been calling the reception since 2 days and no1 picked the phone. In fact the person at reception desk didn't even know if the phone was working. there were not even a single sanitizer kept anywhr in the hospital, no social distancing, extremly poor condition of premise. I had a 8:30 am confirmed appointment. While reaching there, reception desk told me that their staff would come only by 9. there was no option of nom touch payment(scan n pay), they only acceptedcash or card. No1 had a clue when the doctor would come to hospital. After a lot of struggle, I was given the number of doctor's secretary to call and chck myself. she informed me to wait and doctor would not visit before 10-10:30 and I should have called her to book appointment. I am not sure why teh appointments are booked through practo for the doctor when they don't have a clue. I decided to leave instead of waiting for the fear of getting corona in such filthy environment and unprofessionalism. I would not recommend anyone to vist fortis Cunningham road. there are much better hospitals in bangalore.
