My wisdom teeth was bothering me a lot since many years. I used to frequently bite my inner cheek and it used to keep bleeding and had an almost permanent scar and ulcer especially the right side. Also I am afraid of the needles and blood. Finally I took courage and went to the House of Dentistry in Lower Palace Orchards, Sadashivanagar. It turned out to be a good decision.

Once you enter, the ambience is very nice, its clean, fresh and soothing. The pleasant atmosphere helped me calm my tensed nerves. During this Covid19 situation it was good to see the amount of care taken and cleanliness maintained. Dr.Akash, the surgeon was already there all decked up in his PPE suit, almost looked like an astronaut but necessary during these times.

An X-ray was taken quickly which popped in a screen in front of me. As my lower right wisdom tooth was partially attached to the bone, a minor surgery also had to be done to remove the tooth. A quick spray into the mouth, a local anaesthesia injection was given in the mouth which was not painful and once numb the procedure was started. I kept closing my eyes but both Dr.Akash and Dr.Sushritha kept calming me and finally the stubborn tooth came out. It was a great relief for me as it was closer to eliminating my years of pain. A few stitches was put and voila, all done. Dr.Jinesh helped me with details of how to take care, gave me the prescription and I was done.

Part2: There was more pain for me from the buccal fat ulcer in cheek than the area where the tooth was removed. Also the tooth next to the removed wisdom tooth was sharp and hurting my tongue. Went back almost a week later to get the stitches removed. Dr.Jinesh and Dr.Sushritha helped remove it and also polished off the sharp tooth. He suggested how to massage and take care of the blob inside my cheek. Felt much better.

Part 3: Went back to remove the upper wisdom tooth yesterday. This was supposedly a straight forward extraction unlike my lower tooth. The anaesthesia took in some time to kick in but finally kicked in and Dr.Akash in his paraphernalia got to removing another stubborn tooth. I felt this was a little more scary but again my nerves were calmed by the fabulous doctors. I could hear the crack and pressure and finally my wisdom was gone, I mean literally, the wisdom tooth came out. The doctors were looking at my tooth with awe and when I asked, they told me that my tooth had 4 roots and generally it has less than that so I also took pic of it and looked at it like seeing a just delivered baby. I was actually feeling fascinated (I know it sounds weird), felt happy for the loss as finally it was Freedom and liberation from the nagging pain from cheek bite. I am still on medication and healing but feel awesome already. No pain on day 2. Enjoying the ice creams and soft food.
