Dr. Subodh M Shetty graduated from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal in 1992. His basic orthopedic training was at KMC, Manipal, and JNMC, Belgaum. He worked at city hospital and research center with prof Shantharam Shetty at Mangalore. In Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai worked as spine fellow under prof P S Ramani. He got trained in minimally invasive spine surgery at Fujita Health University in Japan. His training in pediatric spine surgery and deformity correction was in Germany. He has attended international conferences in Japan, Switzerland, Netherlands and updated himself in recent trends in spine surgery.He is senior spine consultant at Apollo Hospital, Promed Hospital, and Sagar Hospital Bangalore. He is an expert in treating slipped disc problems of the neck and lower back using minimal invasion techniques. He has been treating pediatric spine problems with hunch back problems.His real strength has been in treating people with failed back surgery, that is revision spine surgery. His results in correcting spine surgeries with complicated spine problems after an initial spine surgery have been excellent and it is a real challenge as it is already distorted the original anatomy. His revision spine surgery work is almost 30 to 40 percent of all his spine work. So Dr. Shetty opines that good results in spine surgery are dependent upon not only the skill of the surgeon but also the facilities in the hospital as well as the good teamwork of anesthetists and physiotherapists. He has the experience of operating on more than 5000 spine patients with disc problems, Deformities, Traumatic Spine, Infections and Hunch Back problems. I dont have to write a review for this brilliant doctor but anyway, I will try to put in a few words..
He is one of the best spine doctors we have in Karnataka. You need to sit and talk to him to understand how effectively he can help you. All the past history should be given to him accurately for proper diagnosis. He understand the severity of the issue and helps you guide from there.
One sincere request to the public, please do not curse the doctor if he is late or he is stuck in an emergency. Please be patient.
Doctors are equal to god. dont criticize them without knowing the facts.

One of the great doctor, ever I met. I went to him with father in law 5 yrs ago and looking to write feedback for him so that it can help others and pay little gratitude to great man.The things that impressed me...1. He pays time more to understand the problem than writing the prescription.2. To focused treatments, good explanation of problem and why he is giving the particular treatments.Many doctors give too many medicines to my father in law for a simple fracture not getting settled. But He just cured with 150 rs stretch.the way he explained it seemed very trivial problem and simple solution required.

Visited Dr. Subodh for my mother's hand fracture. It was an emergecy however, doctor explained the issue very calmly. Suggested to unergo surgery which he lead very smoothly. He was absolutely attentive to patient's wellbeing. We were also impressed with the suport we received from his staff at his clinic, Ishaan orthopedic center.
I had an appointment with Dr Shetty on 18/04/2015 which i had booked before two weeks. It was clearly informed that i m coming from North-East and my problem has been escalating day by day. But i was flabbergasted on knowing that Dr. Shetty is out of station on the same day around 4 hrs before my appointment time. We had no prior information about non-availability of doctor either telephonically or message. Being such a reputed clinic, this is very unprofessional and carelessness. I am deeply hurt by such response.
Hope you will take this matter seriously and find out the reason for such negligence.

Happy with the consultation I had with this doctor. The first appointment was in Apollo Spectra Hospital, Koramangala in evening and was disappointing in the sense we had to wait for more than an hour to see him. The followup was in his clinic in Koramangala which was very quick as there was just one patient before me and the appointment was in the morning. His PA/secretary is helpful in guiding the patients with appointments and directions of the consultation location.

Everything is organized very well at clinic,Doctor understands your problems and suggest you good consultation for the same. Physiotherapist is also give good pain relief exercises.
I will definitely recommend people this clinic for bones,injury and physio related problems.
We had to wait more than 30 min. Once I cancelled the appointment after waiting for 30 min as was getting late for office. We heard same from other patients as well that doctor is in his house which is upstairs n just making us wait to feel important. I will not recommend him to anyone if he don't respect patients time.
