Dr Shylesh Shetty is amongst the pioneers of microscope centered endodontics in the country.Dr. Shylesh Shetty completed his BDS in the year 1999 and went on to do his masters in endodontics. Soon after the completion of his masters in the year 2004, Dr. Shetty held faculty positions at the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Between the years 2004 - 09 Dr. Shetty was a consultant Endodontist at many of central and east Bangalore's leading dental practices.Realizing that the highest standard of endodontic care required was not deliverable as a consultant in a "General Dentistry" set-ups, Dr.Shylesh Shetty set up the "Root Canal center"- in the year 2008- a unique specialty endodontic practice, the cornerstone of the practice being the surgical microscope - a tool that sets the standard of excellence. Root canal treatment is performed completely under the operating microscope which allows complete visualization of the main and accessory root canal system and requires a high degree of skill and training, the vision of successful treatment outcome being based on the use of cutting edge technology, equipment, knowledge, and skill - the unique combination that results in very high long-term success.Keen on raising the bar of endodontic standards in India, Dr. Shylesh Shetty is passionately involved in training endodontists on the latest advances in endodontic techniques and concepts through lectures and hands-on training at his " Micro- endodontic" training facility in Bangalore.“Excellence Dental”- was set up by Dr Shetty in June 2016, as an extension of the “Root canal centre” with the intent of providing the highest global standards of care across dental specialties under one roof. My front most tooth was badly affected by cavity and became painful in 2012. First I went to a nearby dentist in my locality and I started my treatment. I am extremely sensitive to pain. My pain bearing capacity is really bad.My first doctor told that after root canal my tooth requires grinding and capping. And my first experience was really painful. Then on my friends suggestion I continued my treatment with Dr. Shylesh. I can say that anyone at any given time can receive painless root canal treatment with 100% percent success rate from Dr. Shylesh. This is possible because of his consistency *** *** ********* ** *** ********* ******* He clears a patient's doubt with utmost kindness. In my experience some doctor's are never willing to explain. After Root canal treatment, Dr. Shylesh surprised me saying that I don't have to put cap for my front tooth as it is not subjected to pressure while eating. Now 5 years gone, my front tooth after root canal is doing great with out losing its natural characteristics. I am really thankful to him for keeping me smile as much as natural possible. He will not recommend any unnecessary treatments. A highly trustworthy Doctor and a gentle person.

"Rockstar" - That's the term I will use for Dr. Shylesh to treat his patient and also for building his efficient and expert team. What an experience it has been so far. I actually do not mind travelling from Yelahanka to Indiranagar for my treatment, because I am in safe and honest hands as compared to few clinics in Yelahanka where I was advised multiple RCT. But here, single RCT solved the case for me.
Best thing: Doctors here give you the time and proper explanation beore doing anything. A well defined modern + hygenic set up and you just can't ask for more. Process wise they have all the modern equipments which are non-existent in other clinic. A proper set with larger screen to show you the exact live case and proper explanation of the treatment.
Charges: Consultation charges might loo higher but trust me it's not that. It includes any x-ray and basic investigations which otherwise are chargeable in other clinics.
Both me and my wife are taking the treatment, and the experience has been top notch. You are in safe hands once you land at "Excellence Dental".
