My wife, Indira(65) was suffering from some complex health issues, including hearing discomfort, some hearing loss, Lichen planus(oral cavity) for about a year. She was seen by doctors in New York, then in Chennai, then tried Ayurvedic treatment with reputed clinic in Chennai...but suffering did not slow down. It was April 2022 when we were visiting Bangalore. It was a chance meeting with Dr. Shalina, who heard my wife's story and asked to see her at her chamber at the Manipal Hospitals. On 26th April 2022, we visited her. Dr. Shalina carried out some investigations and offered Indira very simple solutions including limited medications.

To our surprise within 15 days Indira started feeling the difference. Indira says, meeting Dr. Shalina was God sent.

Our observations, Dr. Shalina listens carefully and a thorough analytical doctor who will go for root cause and not treat the symptoms only.

She is a hands on "Doctor" makes her medical knowledge walk with the test results.

I visited Dr. Salina Ray a month back due to a severe and painful inflammation due to bacterial infection around my neck lymph node. Naturally I was stressed since I had heavy doses of antibiotics the infection had only but increased. The most comforting factor when you meet Dr. Salina is the comforting demeanor with which she treats a patient. She has a keen eye for details and patiently hears you out. We had decided upon a surgery to cure the infection and she helped me at lot for admission formalities, pre-surgery test. Her careful steps while treating me ensured she was always in control and never was any unnecessary course correction required during the treatment. The best part of Dr. Salina is her excellent knowledge and judicious weighing of options before taking any steps towards a surgery or suggesting a diagnosis test. I took my mom to this doctor for earache. She was very rude to my mom from the beginning. She has cleaned her ear and it was immensely painful. She kept saying that my mom was continuously moving, while she was wincing in pain, without the slightest consideration for her pain. She mentioned some fungal infection and the treatment given was antibiotics. Not only the doctor, her entire staff was rude.

Visited Manipal hospital for ear pain and consulted Dr. Shalini who was available.

Doctor is not approachable nor friendly, does not explain the issue or medications prescribed. She said that there is debri in the ear and needs to be removed. During the procedure, Dr was snapping at the nurse to get some instruments, commenting that there is so much debri. All this really made me panic and I couldnt tolerate the pain during the procedure. Dr could have been more calm, made patients feel more relaxed and put patients at ease while doing the procedure. When I moved and couldn't stay still because of the pain, she was rude, stopped the procedure and said to come after a week to remove the rest of the debri. *** ** ** ********* ****** * **** **** I'm from Kolkata and currently I'm 22. On 13th December, 2020 I visited her with some unbearable nasal disorders. She diagnosed it with an antrochoanal polyp and said that only way to get rid of this is to go under the knife. I got nervous and started crying 😶 on the day of operation but she handled with great care. Post operational care was also excellent. Other junior doctors and nurses were also very helpful. For several days after operation I was having blood clots in cough (I guess due to journey) and called her several times. Every time she responded without being irritated. She is very friendly and caring. I'm writing this review after more than a year of surgery and currently I'm absolutely fine. Thanks a ton Doctor for saving me from this traumatic situation and making it better. 🙏

Highly recommended. Dr. Shalina is no lesser than an Angel for me. I had conductive hearing loss for both ears and underwent Right Tympanoyomy with ossiculoplasty on 21st Dec 2019 in Manipal Hospitals at Old Airport road, Bangalore. I am writing this review after 1.5 years and can tell you that I am living a normal life like any other human being. I had surgery twice for my right ear in past before meeting Dr. Shalina but unfortunately, both the surgery was unsuccessful. It was going to be my 3rd surgery and God couldn't see my pain and my suffering, hence, sent Dr. Shalina in the form of an angel who gave me new birth. Words will be lesser for you doctor. We went to Doctor for my father persistent ear infection. It was a case of cholesteotoma and nèeded surgery. We were worried about surgery as my father was 81 year old and is undergoing chemotherapy. Doctor understand our concerns, personally discussed the case with oncologist. She explianed us the condition in detail and also gave details of the surgery. This gave confidence to my father who was initially reluctant for the surgery.

Doctor helped us on all things including guidance on administrative procedure on corona test, admission process etc

Dr. Shalina Ray is a highly qualified, very skilled, and very experienced surgeon. She conducts herself in a very professional and very confident, mature manner. She patiently listens to your issues and gives her recommendations after studying all aspects of the case. I recently underwent extensive nasal/ sinus surgery (FESS) under her.
