Visited For Tooth Extraction
I do not recommend the doctor
Hoped for better: Treatment satisfactionWait time
The tooth extraction process wasn't pain-free as the patient had been kept waiting for a long time after local anesthesia application such that the effects were wearing off. The extraction wasn't clean and a small fragment was left off. We had complained that to the doctor during stitch removal but she insisted that it was the bone.
However, that small teeth fragment continued to cause discomfort and finally came off about 5 months from the extraction process.
Didn't have a good experience and wouldn't recommend to others.
Dr. Ramya replied
Local anaesthesia needs time to produce effects, hence the wait. The anaesthetic needs 4 hours to wear off.
Small fragment must have been bone around the socket which feels sharp. As healing continues the fragment falls off.
If small fragment is a tooth root it would lead to infection swelling and non healing socket which would need a second surgery.
The experience after tooth removal cannot be compared with others as it depends on variety of issues as infection in in tooth, and gums, size and shape of roots and position of tooth.
Since you did not have any, severe infection, need another procedure or damage to other teeth and tissues, it is a satisfactory procedure.
