While I was in Tokyo, I developed a big cavity on my upper Right-side Premolar tooth and consulting the Dentists over there I understood that this might need to be fixed with a Root Canal. However, considering the Medical Practice in Japan, they always prefer to fix issues with minimal changes to the system and with no unnecessary cost as its regulated by the Japan Government. So, one of the Japanese doctors ‘s suggested me to have a filling, revisit after 6 months to check if the Abscess formed. dies down.

However, I had to move back to India in another 4 months and I faced a huge challenge in choosing the right dentist in India. At the bottom of my heart I knew, that Medical profession has now become a practice where Doctors / Hospitals tries to extract unnecessary cost from a person. Apart from that, they will lead you to a stage where there will be no turning back without going by their book. I was hugely reluctant to get my tooth treated in India. But considering my travel schedule, I consulted Sakra World hospital where processes sucked and no empathy to patients which left me frustrated. I got a chance to consult Mr Balu in Sakra and he advised Root Canal as the Abscess had started to swell up , following the Homeopathy medicine I took (I am a firm believer of Homeopathy) which actually aided in forming the bulge but Allopathy was needed as the abscess needs channel to flow out and also I agreed with him that Homeopathy might not be able to fix this in the long term.

However I was heavily reluctant to do my RCT in Sakra . I was searching for alternate doctor when I came across Dental Solutions in Bangalore with a huge no of positive reviews, even in “MouthShut.com”. I went through Dr Ramya’s and Dr Balu’s profile (who happened to be running the Dental Solutions. That’s a HUGE coincidence and is an interesting story). I was referred to Dr Ramya and trust me over the 3 sessions I had on Root Canal , my fear in Indian Dental practice started fading away as I realized that I am now in safe hands as I was in Japan , not only in terms of Medical skills but the way Dr Ramya took good care of me in answering my doubts , being patient and understanding enough to comfort me when I used to panic during the sessions . I might have visited her for 6 times now for various reasons/Sessions and each time the experience has been the same.

Sakra hospital is 1.5 km from my house and Dental Solutions is 12 Km from my house but I still drive that far to get my Dental issues sorted out. Dental Solutions is clean with the state-of-the-art infrastructure and is no way less than what we have got in big hospitals, On the contrary, Dental solutions might have more equipment.
