As the minutes ticked by, my initial relief turned into a simmering frustration. I patiently waited, assuming the delay was perhaps due to the doctor attending to an emergency or a prior appointment running late—a common occurrence in medical practices that I fully understand and respect.

However, as the 30-minute mark passed, it became evident that this was no ordinary delay. The waiting room, a space usually filled with the quiet buzz of activity and the soft murmur of other patients, seemed to echo my growing concern.
