As the patient says the doctor was good. The next visit was unavoidable that she had to wait for a few hours to meet her, as it’s known that ours is not only a Infertility Center but a Maternity home as well and Patients can go into labour at any time and we will have to be available to attend to any and every Emergency which happens ever so often in a hospital that handles regular pregnancies.

As far as the lab investigations are concerned, we do not impose any hard and fast rule on the patient to do all the tests in our Center but it is only a matter of convenience for them to get things done under one roof if the choose to do so. They could most definitely always get them done at any competent lab outside and produce their reports.

On the contrary, to the claim of the amount of 13000/- spent towards investigations, we have gone through the records which shows that patient had spent 2800/- only on the lab investigations.

As for the AMH report showing low values, only AMH is not the deciding criteria for low fertility. The combined findings of U/S (AFC – antral follicular count) and hormonal assay, help come to a conclusion on future fertility. May be, her AFC was normal on U/S, so the doctor would have said the findings are normal and a possible repeat of AMH for further management. Unfortunately the patient did not follow up.
