She is angel in disguise. We were referred by our Gynaecologist as there were some concerns with my pregnancy scans. Her team did the thorough scans and then she came and explained us everything. She counselled on the pros and cons for the procedure we were to go through in best detail possible. The procedure went smoothly and few months later I had a healthy kid. We had to wait around 4 hours for the scan. Very high wait time no doubt, but I honestly don’t mind that because with each scans there are major decisions made in BFMC not just about an unborn kid but the families associated. It looked to me a teaching centre because few medical students were present when Dr Prathima performed the procedure on me. I was fine with that, on job training is really necessary but under the senior doctor’s supervision. Overall I think BFMC is an asset to Bangalore..our country really needs more such centres where expectant parents can be assured of the well being of their kid. Thank you Dr. Prathima and team.

Hi Team,
Thanks for all your valuable support.
It was a pleasant meeting with Dr. Prathima and Dr. Deepthi. The way we got the treatment from BFMS staffs was very nice and remember able.
We went for NT Scan for my Wife at BFMS as our regular doctor Dr. Asha referred , because we have received high risk for our Double marker test which we did at Clumax.
We are completely scared about the test report.
Before I went to BFMS got various negative feedback through internet and little scared, still we have to visit as our doctor has suggested.
We reached at morning 8:30 AM and Team treated us very friendly and we completed all the formalities. After 15 mins Dr. Called for Scan and explained us each and every bits while scan was going on.
After Scanning Dr. Deepthi and Dr.Prathima did counseling us and it was clear all our doubts . We left from BFMS with hopes and smiling face.
Thanks to Dr. Prathima and your team for your valuable support.
Request to others, who are interested to visit BFMS take appointment and before going to please give a call and then go. Because BFMS is specialized for Scanning, it may take time we should have patience.
Thanks,
Prasant
The scan was first done by another doctor who was getting trained. I didn't mind it since she seemed to know what she was doing and gave me a lot of time to look at the scans and understand what they are measuring. Dr Prathima came at the end and reviewed all the scans and did some more to confirm the results. I had messed up my LMP dates. She caught that. Otherwise I would have got an incorrect report due to my own doing.
They give a counselling session on how to read the risk and what options are available if you want to go for more accurate testing (double marker+NT scan has 80%accuracy). That was useful.
The only annoying part of the visit was the wait time. My appointment was at 11. I was there at 11. I got out of the clinic at 4:30. Actual scan time was less than an hr. They can definitely work on their scheduling and information given to patients on wait time. If I go back next time, I am going to pack my breakfast and lunch for sure!
In spite of this, I recommend her. She knows what she's doing and was very nice to talk to unlike the other Radiologists I worked with before.
If you want to report immediately after the scan, make sure you give your blood a week ahead. Otherwise you will be asked to come back after a week for the report. You'll hate waiting a week to know if ur baby is high risk or not. So plan for it.

****** *** ** *** **** ************ *** ******* ** **** **** **** ******* *** ** ******** meticulous, detail-oriented, experienced and at the same time genuinely cares for her patients and their to-be-borns. We were referred to her by our GYN, to get a second opinion on an erroneous diagnosis of hypoplastic nasal bone by the resident radiologist at Fortis.
The very first time we met her, we could see the sea of difference between a normal radiologist and a fetal expert like Dr Radhakrishnan. Dr Radhakrishnan is more like a radiologist, Ob, GYN all rolled into one. She does all of the ultrasounds herself after her very competent assistants do the basic scans. She goes through every aspect of the ultrasound in great detail, talks to the patient during and after the scans, empowers and includes them in the decision-making and tries to create a connect between the expecting parents and the baby during the scan. When she encountered a new but grave issue in one of our follow up scans, she took the initiative to speak with our GYN in person and stress on the importance of the findings. Even after we discontinued our treatment with her due to our less-than-satisfactory experience with our GYN, Dr Radhakrishnan’s assistant called us to check on how our pregnancy was going a week later. This shows how much she cares for her patients and the values she brings to her line of work. Go with Dr Radhakrishnan and her team, no matter who your GYN is. It will make a world of difference.

Well I am writing this after around 4 months of my wife's delivery and I want to Thank you Dr. Prathima for the successful surgery for Twin to Twin Tranfusion Syndrome (TTTS). After detection of TTTS form my wife's twin pregnancy we had been referred from Motherhood Hospital. After thorough checkup at Bangalore Fetal Medicine Centre, Dr. Parthima acted very promptly and decided to the "Fetascopic Laser Ablation" on the next day itself. Laser device was not available in Bangalore at that time and miraculously Dr Prathima mangaed it from Pondicherry within two days time. Dr. Prathima did the procedure at Manipal Hospital and needless to say it was completely successfull. Theoritcally this procedure has a success rate of 50 % and obviously because Dr. Pathima accuracy it was 100 % succesfull. As I mentioned around 4 months have passed since the delivey and babies are growing well. We want to thank you Dr. Prathima from our bottom of heart and 10 star from our side.

It was quite good experience with Dr.Prathima. Though wait time will lead you to be impatience but it's completely worth to wait. She understands your issue from your perceptive and give you the accurate solution. She goes beyond the scope to help you. Eg. My issue was very much different as I had been through 2times still birth but unable to find out the reason yet. She personally called genetics counselor to check the issue. Very rare to find this type of interest in today's world doctors. Hats off to her dedication..

Hoped for better: Doctor friendlinessExplanation of the health issueTreatment satisfactionValue for moneyWait time
Prathima Radhakrishnan maybe good at what she does but she has no value for patients or their time. She claims it's no big deal for a patient to wait for her for 5 hours,I couldn't term this as anything but arrogance. If someone has nothing else to do other than get a glimpse of this lady it may be worth your while. She doesn't show up for most part of the ultrasound leaving it to juniors. We spent a total of 6 hours for an incomplete ultrasound and no report was generated. Very unprofessional and extremely poor time management. If it's not for innocent people who put thier faith and wait for a whole day for this woman to do her job this place would be down the tube by now. ****** * ************ ****** *** *** *** ****** *** *****
She is extremely positive, lively and master of her Skill... She has magic in her hands... even the fetus loves her scanning mumma's tummy. She addresses concerns with utmost sincerity and give all her ears for your issues and make u comfortable talking about them.
Really one of the nicest doctor I have ever met in my life !
