Dr. Pooraneson Raju practices at and is also the Chairman of Poornima Hospital in RT Nagar, Bangalore. He completed MBBS from Karnataka Medical College, Hubli in 1976 and MS - General Surgery from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore in 1992. He has undergone ultrasound training program at Victoria Hospital in the year 1999 and is performing Ultrasound Scanning for the patients till date apart from day to day surgeries. He has undergone MTP, ICDS and Sterilization Training Programme and has performed thousands of Sterilizations by conventional as well as laparoscopic methods. Dr. Pooraneson joined the Government of Karnataka as an Assistant Surgeon in the year 1978 and has worked in Primary Health Centers in the Kolar District. After completion of MS in General Surgery, he worked as a Surgeon in General Hospital, K.G.F till 2002 where he performed over 3000 major & minor surgeries as well as OBG Surgeries. Between 2002 to 2007, he worked as a Senior Consultant and was the Head of Department of Surgery in KC General Hospital, Malleshwaram. He is the Life Member of All India Surgeons Association. His accoladed include being Awarded Fellowship in International College of Surgeons (Indian Chapter) in the year 1999 as well as being Honored with the Independence Day Award of "Best Doctor of KGF" for the year 2001.
