She has extensive research experience, having completed her Ph.D. in Ayurveda at the National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur. She has been involved in several research projects at I-AIM, with a focus on community health initiatives based on traditional Indian medical knowledge.
Dr. Neelambika was the awardee of Vaidya-Scientist by TDU, sponsored by Dept. of AYUSH which demonstrates her ability as a clinician and a researcher. She is a good team player having a pleasant manner. She runs the Integrative Vascular Disease Clinic (IVDC) at I-AIM which treats conditions resulting from diseases of arteries, veins and lymphatic channels, such as arterial thrombus, atherosclerosis, vasospasms, varicose veins, deep venous thrombosis, superficial venous thrombosis, chronic wounds/ulcers due to vascular insufficiency, senile vasculopathy, diabetic vasculopathy, different ischemic conditions and limb pain due to vascular insufficiency. The clinic also places special emphasis on prevention in high-risk individuals, as well as the management of the established disease. The clinical services provided by the IVDC will include medical management, surgical procedures, Panchakarma, physiotherapy, dietary and lifestyle. These activities of the IVDC are carried out by a technical team comprising of an Ayurveda surgeon, junior doctors, consultant vascular and general surgeons, general physician, anesthetist, surgical nurse, physiotherapist, and Panchakarma therapist.
