Dr. Naresh Bhat is the chief of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. His core strengths are clinical gastroenterology and advanced endoscopy. Dr. Bhat is the chairman of the Indian NBI group and a core member of the Asia NBI group (ANBIG) and trains endoscopists in India and Asia in advanced endoscopic imaging.He has been in practice for over 30 years as a pioneering gastroenterologist in the country. He leads a team of gastroenterologists with experience and skills in different areas like IBD, pancreatic disease, Metabolic liver disease and Motility disorders to form the Centre of Excellence in Gastroenterology and Liver Disease. He was President Society of GI Endoscopy India and presently President Elect of AIGE, Governing Council member Indian Society Gastroenterology and President ISG Karnataka. His areas of interest include GI cancer, IBD therapeutic and pediatric endoscopy. He has trained in Hamburg, Germany in Therapeutic endoscopy and He also trained in Japan in advanced endoscopic imaging.
My mom had severe acidity problems past 1 1/2 years. She had severe vomiting n loose motions . We went to almost all major hospitals in Bangalore and took all set of tests but couldn't find the root cause of my mom's problem. She kept on gaining weight though her acidity problem didn't improve. She gained around 12-13 kg weight in this 11/2 yr. We visited the doctor only once. He took enough time to understand our problem. After listening to her past medical records , he asked us for my mom's 2 year old photographs and confirmed that all her early tests were taken without any proper diagnosis and assured her that he would diagnose her problem after taking few tests. After the tests he confirmed all her problem was due to hormonal imbalance and asked us to consult with dr. Mahesh. He prescribed some medicines for hormones for 3 weeks. I was studying in Bangalore and fell sick. I suffered for a month and then, one of my college principals recommended me to visit Dr Naresh Bhat. I was annoyed with my illness and went to him as my last resort. The hospital was far away from my place and had to travel for 2 hours but it was worth it.
I had to wait but doctor surprised me by welcoming in my mother tongue Marathi. The doctor examined me and asked to do a few tests. By the time, I got my results his visiting hours were over. To my surprise, he asked one of his colleagues to keep him updated and give me feedback. He prescribed only one tablet and I was ok in a week. Unnecessarily, I was taking piles of medicine for a month.
I am very happy with the treatment, diagnosis and doctor.

* **** *********** * *** *** ** ***** * ******** *** ***** ********* We paid fees for a 24 yrs exp doctor but in reality all consultation in done by his juniors. Main Dr will just come and see the prescription/summary report prepared by his junior, validate it, and leave chamber in 2 minutes (I guess to other chambers of other Junior doctor). **** *** *********** ********** ** ****** ****** ** **** ** ******** ****** ***** Wasted my time traveling to Hebbal from electronic City and expecting we will get some good second opinion on recurring gastritis problem

We decided to visit Dr. Naresh Bhat after knowing about him for my Mother in law from Practo app & other patients feedback. But to our astonishment his "team" consisting of young gastroenterologists first took our case history. This is not what we paid for, we paid for his consultation & not for a fresher doctor consultation. Secondly he asked us to go for endoscopy, which we did get done but after the reports were out, he didn't even look at the reports, his "team" prescribed medicine, he was simply asking how much more time would it take for us to leave so that other patients can get in? It was after I raised a question pointing out from the reports, he explained what it was but he didn't explain by himself? Now if such is a case , then we would better not visit him again anymore .. Would also not recommend him to other patients.

When we meet first time he was very friendly and explained everything clearly. And asked us to visit after 10 days ************* ***** ****** ******** *** * ** * **** ** ****** ***** so we thought go and check with him again. And more over in Aster there is one complementary consultation is free with in 7th day. Since there consultation is costly we thought of going immediately. But this time receptionist looked us like why we are coming with in 7 day and instead of Dr. Bhat his assistant doctor consulted and same time Dr. Bhat came and he didn't even asked any thing. His behaviour Is different. I respect his experience they might have treated so many patients like us but for us this is the first time. We really expect his valued consultation but we dissatisfied and we have search for other doctor :(

He and his team members seem to be the most inconsiderate people on earth. They will simply force u to het admitted and will not give any clear plan or no explanation .. Just one word they say and that is get admitted

Team at ASTER CMI is not been able to take decision fast, takes series of costly tests and procedure before prescription, it's very frustrating to go to doctor and his team for weeks only for tests and no medication.
