It was cloudy day when I visited her. For the appointment booked at 5 pm, I reached the doctor’s premise at 5 02 pm. I was the first one for the evening slot of the doctor. I was not expecting her to be on the premise. She did not disappoint me. She was not there. When I a patient, took the liberty of coming two mins late, she being the DOCTOR took the liberty coming 20 mins late. However, I was not bothered much about her coming late. As I mentioned earlier, it was cloudy day and I was in peace with life. I was more accommodating than I usually am.

Now that she has arrived into her cabin, she did not wait a moment to call me in. Finally, a show of concern for my time.

Before I detail out my experience with her for the next twenty minutes, let me tell you my reason of visit. It was for wart removal.

Now, for the experience.

I entered her cabin.

I explained to her my reason of visit and showed her the place in my face where I think I had wart. The next moment she took her what looked like a torch and came near to me for closer examination of the wart in my face.

After a brief scrutiny of the wart, she said it was a viral growth. I gave back her the expression “Ma’am, I have no idea what do you mean by that” look. What came in reply was a mini education session. She took a paper and started drawing on it what looked like a wart on a skin surface. She used the diagram she drew to explain how deep it would be inside my skin and suggested that I should go for some sort of treatment which is essentially remove the wart by burning it off.

However, she was not suggesting to me to go for it straightway. Perhaps she thought the fact of burning off something in my face would take time to sink in and hence asked if I needed more time to mull over it and try next time. I liked that gesture. That's something she followed all through her consultation. Never did she tried to cram any treatment down my throat. There was a large dosage of freedom given to me all the time to choose the treatment I want.

Given that I was aware of the treatment even before I enter the hospital, I told her a yes right away and she took me to her surgery room which was pretty modern and neatly maintained.

The treatment begun. Although I was aware of the procedure, I was little nervous as it was about face - I did not want to leave a permanent scar on my face. I believe she knew it. She started explaining everything she was doing, right from injecting anaesthesia to applying antiseptic lotion after the wart removal. Each and every minute she would stop and ask if it hurt me or not and then go ahead with the treatment.

It was a completely painless procedure.

Note: Now, it has been three months since I have gone through the treatment. I have faced no complications so far.
