I visited DR.Poornachandra K.S last month. i was suffering from h.pyloria infection from the last 3.5 months but all the doctors in Kolkata said it was GERD. i was under medication for GERD but since i was not recovering i decided to consult Dr. Poornacandra and after visiting him i got to know that i was not suffering from GERD. he patiently read all my previous records n test reports a . after listening to all that i had to say he suggested that i should undergo a diagnostic endoscopy which was required in my case , and it went quite well. i was initially scared, but later on managed it. the endoscopy report showed that i was suffering from h pyloria infection. the Dr. gave me medicines for a month n now am perfectly fine. before i couldnt eat anything, not even home cooked meal but just after a week of taking the medicines prescribed by Dr. Poornachandra i recovered. i had an amazing experience with him. he is highly recommended by me to any one who seeks a gastroentrologist . am overtly satisfied with his teatment procedure. no unnecessary tests or medicines, only those that are required and necesssary for diagnosis. i give Dr. Poornachandra a big thumbs up!!!!!

However, I have a suggestion for Dr Poornachandra KS. I was asked where the pain is. I, like any patient, said 'Stomach'. In response, the doctor said that is a very general answer. He was expecting more precise, I guess, like upper stomach or lower stomach something like that. Dr Poornachandra, you can help the patient a little better to get the answer you need. Franky speaking I do not understand the difference between upper and lower stomach pain. I believe, this was just one case and can improve on this.

Having said all that, Dr Poornachandra KS is a really good doctor and indeed solved my food-poisoning in a weeks time. His fixed using some medications and major change in diet. I was getting very tired during my food-poisoning episode. Post the medication and diet I was perfect the next day onwards. He is very professional and happy to get his appointment.

Chronic conditions require some more digging beyond the diagnostic reports. I was struggling to find any gastroenterologist who would spare that much of time anf patience to listen to the comolians in detail.

Dr Poorna Chandra was fully invested on my issues. And I would have a follow up sync up soon. It gives some motivation and courage to deal with some chronic conditions that I alone am unable to understand or manage.

It could be some serious, the underlying problem can be something bigger but atleast having a medical expertise helps to calm me down and feel less helpless. I am quite tired of the endoscopy, antibiotics therapy, and ppi tablets for last 10 years. But no gastroenterologist give enough time to listen to the history or suggest some particular exercise in general. I am happy to meet doctor Poornachandra.
