She became the first Indian to win the "Best Research Award at the International Congress of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology held in Hiroshima, Japan in 2011". She was also awarded Scholarship by World Health Promotion Board to present a research paper at World Conference on Tobacco or Health held in Singapore.
