After qualifying as a medical practitioner from JJM Medical College, Davangere, completed post-graduation in ophthalmology from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal in the year 2001.
He subsequently went ahead to do an advanced fellowship in Anterior segment, Sankara Eye Institutions at Coimbatore.
