Dr. Chethana D completed her undergraduate training from Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore. She then went to the United Kingdom to pursue higher training, completed MRCP Internal Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians. As Rheumatology always fascinated her, she decided to further her career in the field. She has experience in laboratory based research, having worked as a Clinical Research Fellow in Rheumatology at University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, UK. She was involved in a research project on Minocycline induced Lupus. She then joined the prestigious Cambridge Deanery for Superspecialty training in Rheumatology. She completed the Specialty Certificate Exam in Rheumatology and obtained Certificate of completion of training (CCT) in Rheumatology in 2013. She has 9years of experience in the field of Rheumatology.On returning to India, she worked as a Consultant Rheumatologist at Apollo Hospitals, Bangalore from Aug 2013 to Dec 2016. I had granuloma mastisis surgery in another hospital. After 3 months again got pain again and i consulted previous hospital in which i had surgery, he told me to another Doctor since he was in picnic. I broke down completely. After that i visited almost 3 to 4 hospitals before coming to aster CMI, every doctor told me that I have to go for another surgery. But mam gave me the perfect tablets through which i got cured within 5 months without any surgery. Mam cleared my doubts and gave emergency contact also if needed and treated me with almost care which i needed the most at that time. I am really thankful from bottom of my heart . The kindness and the way she treated me was awesome. Thanku mam.

Before I met Dr. Chethana Dharmapalaiah, I had consulted two other doctors for my Gout condition. This was the first major Gout attack that I faced. Both of these doctors were good in diagnosing that I had Gout, but for some reason the swelling and the pain wasn't reducing. So, I booked an appointment with Dr. Chethana Dharmapalaiah, and she asked relevant questions, took time to explain my condition, and prescribed a higher dosage of Zyloric for the Gout, some painkillers as well as some cream to apply on the swelling. The important thing to note here is that she told me to eat normal food since I am a vegetarian, but the other doctors had told me to cut down on proteins in my food. She also told me to stop drinking beer/alcohol. So, after around a month of consulting with her, the swelling and the pain went away. Since then I have visited her twice and on the second visit she reduced the Zyloric and completely stopped the painkillers. I also started doing Yoga to keep myself healthy as she had suggested some physical exercises. All good for now, thanks to her care.

Though we went at the last minute, Doctor diagnosed quickly and softly. I expected her to be a little irritated as we reached at 9:20 while the Doctor's leaving time was 9:15 But it was the other way round and she finished everything quickly. I was glad to see my mom happy after meeting the doctor, as she was completely satisfied
