S E H has been set up by Dr Arun Samprathi, a Graduate from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, and postgraduate from Government Medical College, Mysore. He then went to the prestigious Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore & Madurai for senior residency and completed his D.N.B.(Ophthalmology). He later did his Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus (Squint) at Aravind Eye Hospital, to acquire skills required to examine and manage Pediatric eye diseases. Subsequently, he was trained in Squint surgeries at Liverpool, UK and passed FRCS (Edinburgh) exams in Ophthalmology in 2002. Dr Samprathi relocated to Bangalore in April 2001 as the first Pediatric Ophthalmologist in Bangalore and is one of the few Pediatric Ophthalmologists & Squint specialists in Bangalore. Dr.Samprathi has performed over 10,000 Suture less cataract surgeries (including the latest technique of Phaco-emulsification & foldable IOL) for adult cataracts. He specializes in cataract surgery without injection or sutures or bandage, currently being done by very few surgeons in Bangalore.He has been actively conducting educational programs forophthalmologists, Pediatricians, General Physicians, school teachers as well as general public to spread the awareness about childhood eye diseases & squint. Samprathi Eye Hospital and Squint Centre:
Recently, I underwent cataract surgery, at Samprathi Eye hospital and squint centre, Bangalore. Right from day one – pre – operative investigations to post operative care, the service by Dr. Arun Samprathi and his staff were very good. All covid protocols were followed strictly. Time slot / time management for patient regulation practised at the hospital were praiseworthy. The courtesy and care taken by the OT supportive staff and front office staff were very impressive. Overall experience was excellent. Thanks to Dr,Arun Samprathi and to his dedicated team. In future, for myself, my family, friends and relatives, Samprathi, eye hospital will become our “PREFERRED” eye hospital at Bangalore. My ratings 10/10. – Seshu from Bangalore.

I had digital eye strain as I use laptop and smartphone a lot due to my office work and which complicated to dry eyes problem. Doctor adviced to use eye drops and apply Zero eye strain screens on all my devices. Now I feel better and I dont feel any strain on eyes and as i continue to use devices for 8-10 hours a day.

There are still some handful doctors left in this world who is living up to the ethics and code of the Dr profession. Dr Arun is one of those rare doctors. His ethical and moral code of conduct is at the highest level. In this world specially in Bangalore where patients are treated as a customers and commodity, there a human touch is always there with Dr Arun. We went for our kid's squint correction procedure which was completed successfully at the Columbia Asia. But his way of handling the patients and the family, his professionalism, caring and ethics really touched us. Also more importantly the treatment was so economical. The finance aspect was way too much transparent and was beyond our expectations. It is unfortunate that doctors like him are becoming rarer by the days.

The doctor is ready to listen, takes the required time, keeps the kids comfortable. Moreover, explains the issue properly and does not scare you. Hard to find such doctors these days. Highly recommended!!

Doctor treats every one equally, "Doctor's are equal to God" which is applicable to him.
I have gone to different big eye hospitals for my daughter's EYE Dust Allergy, and I didn't found improvement but after consulting with this Doctor I am happy that there is some improvement * **** ******* **** *** ** *****

Got the squint correction surgery done for my daughter when she was just 2 years. Dr. Arun Samprathi did a great job and she is now 8 and doing great. I highly recommend him for kids eye problems.
