He actually wanted to pursue medicine, but when that did not happen, He took up veterinary science, and He Is so happy about it. According to Him, this is a much better space to be in as there is so much to learn and do” says Dr Adarsh, who completed his B.V. Sc from KVAFSU, Shimoga in 2017 and his M.V Sc in Veterinary Surgery and Radiology from KVASU, Mannuthy, Thrissur in 2019.
This is his journey.
Dr. Adarsh joined Cessna Lifeline in August 2019 when he responded to an ad placed by Cessna Lifeline looking for veterinarians to join the team. He has worked with the IPD, OPD teams and now, in the night shift, his time if largely focused on emergency surgeries and cases in the OPD. He also handles endoscopy and ultrasound for emergency cases. “He did not even go back home after completing my master’s, He came straight to Cessna Lifeline” he says with a laugh.
Dr. Adarsh finds the approach at Cessna Lifeline very thorough and different. “At Cessna Lifeline, there is a lot of focus on diagnostics. Whatever He have learnt in theory now gets to be put into practice here.”
His areas of interest are orthopedics and ophthalmology, and he intends to get thorough hands-on training in these areas. “Dr. Ramesh has already started performing these surgeries and He get to learn from him.”
He would also like to see more awareness creation programs being done for pet parents about different conditions and diagnostics, so that pets receive timely and right kind of treatment.
Dr. Adarsh has also participated in the National chess championship in the year 2011 and has represented KVAFSU in badminton.
His hobbies are playing badminton and listening to music. When he gets time, he likes to keep himself updated about current affairs as well.
