Doctor Ravi Prakash was the much needed help I was looking for all these years.

After 10 years in psychotherapy and taking medication for OCD, though my OCD itself was definitely resolved, there were many underlying issues which were left completely unaddressed. Even after frequent regular visits spanning more than a decade to prominent doctors nobody really could understand the depth of my problems and I saw little relief. It was no wonder that when situations got somewhat out of hand, I was left completely vulnerable and distressed. When my condition was really going from bad to worse by the minute, I was handed a number of contacts of psychiatrists by a family member . Dr. Ravi Prakash's name was on the list and thankfully was one of the few doctors practising on a Sunday. Sitting across from me at the table the doctor was extremely calm and reassuring in his demeanour. This was the first time that any doctor had actually treated me with so much care and compassion. Though I was far from recovery, stressed and sceptical about he treatment I couldn't help but feel a sense of hope, howeever miniscule it was. From the get go the doctor seemed to have a deep understanding of general issues and my specific problems. I knew then that his approach was going to be different . During subsequent visits he always infused me with hope and encouraged me even though I could barely comprehend my own strengths and abilities. He was tirelessly pushing for my recovery. The other thing I really liked about his treatment is his insistence on becoming independent of medication which I did thanks to his faith in me.

In short I never thought anyone would be able to help, understand and treat me the way that Doctor Ravi Prakash did. It is a huge added plus that he is a wonderful human being and a friend to confide in with a strong desire to help those who are suffering. Truly a blessing and I am very lucky to have come across him.

I urge anyone seeking his help to trust him and sincerely work with him and he will see you through. And yes definitely keep working on the tools he provides until you embody them. This is a reminder even to me.

I am still working on myself and improving every day but I can say that my journey has finally begun.

very friendly and easily approachable. i had an addiction to Relicalm tablet for over a period of 25 years and starting from the age of 25. this tablet i had been taking for psychotic behaviour. But it turned out that the tablets became addictive to my nervous system, and had dangerous and disastrous effects on my personal and interpersonal relationships both with home, friends and office, whenever i tried to stop it or even reduce it by 5mg. I was totally helpless and nobody could help me. Nobody even realised I had a problem until it surfaced in unpleasant situations. It was only Dr Ravi Prakash who actually identified my problem and diagonised it. He was able to help me completely stop taking the tablets by regular counselling and deaddiction programs by suitable substitutions. I owe my present and future to him and it seems like an answer from God Almighty. I am now more confident and able to handle day to day situations with tact, smartness and intelligently. My family and social life has improved and now I believe I can take on future challenges by knowing my strengths and forgotten abilities. I consulted Dr. Ravi for my long holding depression and anxiety. I was very worried to see a psychiatrist because I had never seen anyone before and doubted if he could help. But doctor quickly put me at ease. I felt relief and hope after first meeting. He is one of the few doctors in Bangalore to practise cognitive behavioural therapy, the crown jewel of psychotherapy. His approach of CBT plus medication is now the golden standard for various forms of anxieties and mild to major depressions. He started with mild doses and adjusted doses to suit my need perfectly. I developed no noticeable side effect. I improved quickly and steadily, and I felt like I had reversed 7 years regaining my long lost energy and personality. Its unfortunate that CBT is not widely practised in India, but a few doctors like Ravi offer expert treatment. If you are suffering from depression don’t try to wait over it. With treatment the prognosis is excellent and relapse is minimal.
