His main field of interest being trauma, hip,knee and shoulder replacement and arthroscopy of knee and shoulder.He is the Consulting orthopaedic surgeon at Navachethana hospital.He completed his M.B.B.S from Kempegowda institute of medical sciences in 1999. He went on to do Orthopaedic training at Madras Medical College and received his D.N.B degree in Orthopaedics in 2008. Between 2011 to 2013 he went to Australia and pursued further specialisation through the Australian Orthopaedic Association accredited fellowship programme in Upper limb at Royal Brisbane and Women's hospital, Brisbane and also an Upper limb and limb reconstruction fellowship at Epworth hospital, Melbourne . He underwent training in shoulder and elbow arthroplasty , shoulder arthroscopy and trauma surgeries at these two centres. He also completed a Hip and Knee arthroplasty and knee reconstruction fellowship at the Centre for Bone and Joint surgery, Gold Coast in Australia where he was trained in primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgeries and knee reconstruction.He has presented papers at both state and national conferences.He is a member of the Indian Orthopaedic Association (IOA) International society for the knowledge of Knee and Shoulder Arthroscopy and Arthroplasty ( ISKSAA) and Indian Medical Association(IMA)He is conversant in both operative and non operative treatment of orthopaedic injuries and disorders.Surgery and the improvement it brings to his patients has always attracted him, and so Dr.Ajay Rao routinely performs surgeries and operates at this hospitalThe hospital has 24x 7 accident and emergency service and is equipped with X ray,CT scan, Lab, and Physiotherapy. It has a well equipped OT with laminar flow and fully functional ICU. It also has different types of wards to cater to the needs of all patients
