Well reputed *** ****** ******* Doctor in Orthopedics
Are you advised to undergo a surgery and confused whether to take it or not?
Are you looking for a **** doctor whom you can trust for a second opinion in orthopedics?
Then this is the place I highly recommend you to visit.
If you want a short review and in hurry or don’t want to go through my experience (however I strongly recommend reading my experience so that you will come to know why I am giving this rating )then here it is; ** ** *** **** ********** ****** ********* ** ********* ** *** ** ********* *** *********** I give Dr. Jagatheesh 5 star (100% or out/out).
Here is my life experience and full story.
Background: I am an engineer(male 30) who is working in IT(Electronics) industry and will be spending my working hours completely in front of a computer.
I was suffering from chronic shoulder pain for more than 2 years, before I consulted him. I was not able to raise my left shoulder due to pain. On my right shoulder also it was slowly creeping up the same issue.
At the starting the pain was slowly creeping up on my left shoulder and I was not bothered until it reached some point where my daily activities got affected. Overhead movements of my left hand was very painful.
I have consulted a doctor (doc1) ** *** ****** ******* ******** first he diagnosed the problem and written for physio therapy, I did it for 3 months (some junior guys were instructing me) but pain was not reducing. Again when I went to him he written physiotherapy from a specific senior physiotherapist, for 3 more months, I did that, still there was no result. Then again I went to him this time he written for MRI scan and some blood tests; uric acid and creatine tests, I did the scan and blood tests. As per the MRI scan there was a small tear on my shoulder muscle, the uric acid level was on higher boarder so he told that it might be due to uric acid. He asked me to go to the dietitian and get a diet chart which will control the uric acid level in my blood. I consulted dietitian and got the diet chart that controls the food with high uric acid levels. Uric acid is the end product of metabolism of proteins; so almost all the non veg items and few veg items which contain proteins are not allowed to eat, or eat in moderate quantity only. I was advised to continue the physiotherapy along with the diet. I was following both and did the blood test every month for six months. The value of uric acid was falling within the range from the first month itself. But my shoulder pain was not reducing, it was still gradually increasing and I was feeling the similar pain on my right hand also on the same location. Finally doctor advised me to undergo a surgery (Arthroscopy), by this time it was around one year.
I was very much disappointed and hesitated for doing the surgery. I went to another senior doctor(doc2) ** ******** ************** ******** *** ******* He diagnosed me, and written for many blood tests and also sent for physiotherapy to a senor physiotherapist. Again I did physiotherapy for 3 months, still no result. Form the blood report my vitamin D level was low so the doc2 had given me those tablets. Finally he also advised me to undergo the surgery (arthroscopy), but before finalizing he asked me to consult another doctor (doc3) who is specialized in sports medicine, “if he is also asking you to through the surgery then you do it”, told the doc2.
Then I went to doc3 ********** ******* ** ****** and got diagnosed, after diagnosis he gave me some multivitamin tablets and asked to wait for one month, if still it’s not reducing he will do the surgery. All these time I was continuing my physiotherapy based on different physio therapist these doctors are advised to consult. The surgery will be costing me around 1.5 to 2 lakhs and 1 month rest after the surgery, then I will have to do the physiotherapy again for 6 months to come to normal life!. Since all the 3 doctors are suggesting for it I was mentally preparing for undergoing the surgery, and there was pressure from my family also to do it as soon as possible because all these doctors were suggesting to do it.
By this time it’s been more than two years that I was suffering from shoulder pain. I met my manager for discussing the situation to avail the leave for the surgery and rest. I explained my situation to him, he told his wife had met with an accident and got well with one reputed doctor (doc4), so before I take the final decision its better to consult him. By then I was tired of these exercise of showing to new doctors and I was not having any hope that he might tell no need of surgery. Then in the very next weekend I went to doc4’s clinic **** ******* ******** ********** ******* ******* ****** I explained to him my problem and he told me that
“Your shoulder joint muscles got partially damaged, so it will get ‘aged’ much faster compared to your same aged guys, if you want I can give you a shoulder joint injection (Corticosteroid injection), wich will help in reducing the pain, or else If you are planning to get the surgery done, it should be from a doctor who is doing it on daily or regular basis. I will recommend another doctor (doc5, Joss Center, [Dr. Jagadeesh Orthopedic], Jayanagar), he is the best option you can find in Bangalore”. Doc4 was so gentle that he was openly discussing about the reality in medical field, ** **** ****** *** **** ******* *** *** ***** ******* *** * ******* ****** **** ***** ** ****** ***** *** will be going for surgery only if it’s absolutely necessary”. I was really impressed by his suggestion and his talk, I am really thankful to him because he was just indicating me to the best doctor for my problem.
Finally I visited Doc5 (Jagatheesh doctor), that was on Saturday evening, I explained him the complete story, and told I went there by the reference of Doc4. He asked me to remove my t-shirt and started diagnosing, in between he asked were you working in front of computer for so long? I told yes, how was your sitting position? I explained that. Finally he told me I am having a condition called scapular muscle imbalance and it is due to bad posture for so long working hours, that time only I realized that ergonomics has a pivotal role in our daily activities, this condition had happened because I was constantly ignoring the gradual pain I was suffering due to bad posture in my work desk in front of my computer. Later I did a google search about diagnosis he has written on the prescription which read “SICK” Syndrome (Scapular Malpositioning, Inferior medial border prominence, Coracoid pain and malposition and DysKinesis of scapular movement). He told me that 90% chance is that it can be cured just by physiotherapy, but to be 100% sure let us take another MRI scan which will be of 3T (3 Tesla) that can give a clear insights on what’s happening inside. Then only I realized the previous MRI that I have done was only 1Tesla. He sent me to the nearby scanning center ******* *********** ********** and done the 3T MRI scanning. I got the scanning report only on Monday only, I went to doctor with the scanning report and he confirmed that it can be treated only with physiotherapy and surgery is not required!. I was really happy by to hear that. Then he called a physiotherapist working on his clinic and explained to her what exactly is my problem. She instructed me the exercises I have to do daily 3 times (morning, afternoon and night). Daily she was teaching new exercises for one week, that also must be included in the physiotherapy session. I started doing it I was not feeling better even after one month. During my follow up consultation he explained that it will be taking time because the issue is very old, he was 100% confident on me that I will back to normal if I just continue doing those exercises. I continued and found slightly better after 2 months, initially the progress was very slow, but I have continued the physiotherapy exercises with hope, as the time passes gradually reducing my shoulder pain and now I am almost 75% recovered compared to my shoulder before this issue had come up.
During my recent re-consultation just for my curiosity I had asked him, suppose if I had done surgery what would have happened?. He told the condition would have been worse because the muscle imbalance can’t be treated with surgery, and it will take much longer time to recover by doing physiotherapy after the surgery because the 1 month rest after the surgery will make the muscles much more weaker than now. I was really dissatisfied with doc1, doc2 and doc3 because all these time they were misdiagnosing me and I had to suffer all these time.
I am really satisfied with Dr. Jagatheesh’s treatment, and the way he interact with the patients, he will be patiently listening to the concerns of the patient and clear if they have any doubts. He will diagnose the patient without being biased from the diagnosis of previous doctors and will suggest the surgery only if he is convinced that it’s absolutely necessary. Thank you doctor, you are my life savior 😊.

I had a great experience with Dr Jegadheesh sir. I consulted doctor for ACL reconstruction surgery. I was pretty scared and stressed about the operation and post-surgery treatments. Sir made me so clam and comfortable when I was in the operation theatre. Sir was explaining me procedures throughout the surgery and made me so fearless and confident. Now it's been 4 weeks post-surgery and now I'm able to walk without crutches! Sir was so kind, affectionate & reachable post-surgery too which helped me to recover quickly. A big thanks to the wonderful, friendly and experienced doctor with a prayer to God to give him sufficient strength to serve the society.
I highly recommend!
