From involuntary spasm of the vagina muscles to giant Uterine Fibroids to Natural Conception and finally delivery.I was fighting within for atleast 1.5 years, for involuntary spasm of the vaginal muscles (Vaginamus), causing me immense pain during the intercourse. The day had come when I had to knock the door of a gynaecologist. The Dr. on that side of door was Dr. Tejashri Shrotri. She was already known to my family. She recommended USG post my pelvic examination where she observed a bit of hardness which I have been observing in the last three months. Her recommendation was polite as she didn't want to create any panic without the actual reports at hand..On the day of 9th January, 2023, I went for my USG and the outcome had completely put me in a state of shock. I had been diagnosed with three giant uterine fibroids. I did not opt that day to drive to office, rather I opted an auto drive. It was hard for me to process all of this as first Vaginamus and now fibroids. As I cried quite much in the auto, the auto driver asked me with a tensed faced, “Ma’am what has happened, why are you crying profusely, I just said, nothing, I am missing my mother. Though, he looked unsatisfied with the reply”. Fast forward to the day when Dr. Tejashri evaluated my USG reports and she was immediately into action. She asked for an immediate MRI with Dye for correlation and further clarity. The results gave the exact measurements and confirmed the fibroids presence. The biological clock was not on my side as well as I touched the age of 34.5 years. Dr. Tejashri gave us three months to get pregnant, otherwise, we had to go for a Mayomactomy first as the fibroids were showing symptoms. I still remember the line mentioned in the report, “the fibroids were exerting the mass effect on the urinary blader,”well, only I know the problems I faced while peeing everytime. I was completely alone in this journey, my only support and confidant was my husband, and ofcourse Dr. Tejashri, who stood with me all along the journey had made me even stronger. The Dr. a mother figure to me, immersed herself in my case and fought with us. Attending my calls, listening to my all problems, conselling me round the clock, bearing with my never-ending questions, she just carried confidence and affirmed that soon I will be pregnant. And, I did become pregnant naturally in only three months of trying. I overcame vaginamus slightly as it was necessary to get pregnant. The journey was not easy at all, but, I was free. I had to undergo the amniocentesis as well, as one of the reports of my child had shown having bilateral choroid plexus cysts. However, CPCs are a common finding in women above 35 years of age, but still every necessary test was done to made the delivery successful. The amniocentesis was carried as the NIPT conducted had remained inconclusive for unknown reasons. In every trimester, Dr. Tejashri, took my best care and she was engaging thoroughly at each test that was conducted. I had developed the gestational hypertension and ICP (a liver condition) between 34-35 trimester. She also dealt with these problems firmly. Finally, my water broke, while the gestational age was 36 weeks and two days, I was hospitalised in an emergency situation, and was operated on the next morning by the two surgeons-Dr. Tejashree and Dr. BB Dash. They handled me to the best of their capabilities in the OT. It must be a tough time time for both the doctors. However, My both angels took the baby out and removed the fibroids as well. Myomectomy can only be conducted with the c-section, if the conditions are conducive.I cant write a book on my pregnancy journey, but, I will be happy if a women struggling to get pregnant, can be inspired through my journey. Remember, I attended office till two days before my delivery and did several household chores to keep my brain diverted and fighting the fear. To all sleepless nights and emotional breakdown…here is to a wonderful ending.I am now happily enjoying the motherhood. Seeing my husband cuddling with our child is a heavenly feeling. I would like to thanks Dr. Tejashree *** ***** *** ***** She is the obsetric ‘Maa’ to my child. Because of her I was able to conceive along with fibroids (with all the risks discussed). As I fondly call her ‘Teja’ in my conversations with my spouse, I thank her for being the best. Thank you, Teja…..It is 4:06 AM, my child and husband are sleeping next to me, my eyes are filled with tears, and I am free from fibroids and their symptoms…The review ends her.P.S: I have not revealed the identity due to privacy. However, the case can be discussed with Dr. while maintaining anonymity.

*** ******** ******* ** * **** ************* * **** ************ Before meeting with Doc, I have consulted with few other Gyne who are just professional with their patients however Dr Tejashri has a splendid personality I would say, she not only listens everyone very patiently and calmly but also give personal touch to all. Most of our family members and friends are now under Dr. Tejashri’s guidance and care. I am just blessed with a baby and the way she has handled my delivery, is just superb. In spite of many complications she managed so well and gave her extended support all the time. Usually I have seen so many cases where patients want normal delivery but doctors misguide them with so many issues and complications and patients tend to agree for C-sec but Dr. Tejashri not only often preferred to do normal deliveries and tries her best till the end. We are glad that we met Dr Tejashri. She truly deserves all appreciation and accolades. She is very experienced, calm and friendly in nature. The best thing about her is how she focuses on natural birth and less of medication.
