K. M. Cherian is a leading Indian heart surgeon who has pioneered new treatments, founded new hospitals and earned an international reputation. He is the founding chairman of Frontier Lifeline in Chennai, and the Dr K M Cherian Heart Foundation.He performed India’s first successful Coronary Artery bypass surgery in 1975. He also performed the country’s first heart transplant after legalization of brain death. The first Heart- Lung Transplant, the first Paediatric Transplant and the first TMR (Laser Heart Surgery) were also performed by him.Dr. K.M. Cherian was the honorary surgeon to the President of India from 1990 to 1993. He received a Wockhardt Medical Excellence Award in 2005, through a panel organised by Harvard Medical School. He is the first Indian to become the President of the World Congress of Thoracic Cardiac Surgeon and the first member of the American Association of Thoracic Surgery from India.

This is Sandhiya , daughter of patient latha from Cuddalore , thanq for Al ur support , she is doing good right now. My family is happy. Again we are back to our normal life . Incident that happened to my mother , disturded our normal life, we doesn't know what to do. Dr. Arun prasatha sir and my chithi had suggested your hospital. By God's grace Dr.vivek was there at emergency , he insisted me it might have a neuro problem. As I am Oly 25years , I don't know how to tackle this. 1) Token system of digital technology to be introduced instead of shouting (announcing) the names of patients.
2) Senior Citizens (retired / poor) special discounts to be announced on humanitarian basis for the treatment of Angiography & other major operations.
3) Speedup the time consumptions limits instead of sitting / waiting hours together for every results ( Scans, Tests ) etc. 4) In Accordance with waiting according to Queque system to consult the doctor for every patient has become deadly tired, severe stress at the end pathetically. Thank You.
Dr. Cherian saved my life. He is a God for my family. I was operated on by him when I was 6 years old and when I was 18 years old. I have congenital heart disease. Dr. Cherian is very practical and experienced. Even though he is such a renowned doctor he has no ego. He is truly a great man and doctor.
